Veda® 5 pcs 3/5 / 8/10 mm Masking Tape for Curves Model Paint Spray Modelling/Modeling Refill + 2mm masking tape (F)

I was surprised how good this tape is. It's basically the same as Tamiya flexible but far cheaper. The sole 3* review missed the point. This stuff isn't designed for straight lines (buy the ye!low Tamiya tape for that) but for masking CURVES. It's not that sticky which means it doesn't pull off the previous cost of paint. If you airbrush your models this pack is a useful addition to your tool box. The 8mm size is ideal for 1/72 d day stripes on larger models.

I am really enjoying using my Veda masking tape. I use it to mark my boundaries for my painting, for example, in the unfinished kind of abstract sort of flowing river type thing in the photo. It can cope with gentle curves like these easily and the smaller width tapes can manage quite tight corners. I do have a tendency to stretch it a little whilst pulling it from the spools, though, and even if it adheres nicely to the surface to begin with, it soon begins to lift and spoil your curves. So whilst its stretchiness may be useful for some things, its a nuisance for masking off for painting.. This is all I've used it for so far but for this, I absolutely recommend it - I intend to make it a staple item in my art box.

Nice clean lines for the most part, but I put too thick a coat and there was a little bleeding. If there were longer rolls I would buy them too. Would definitely purchase again.

Strong and shiy

Strange how you get contradictory reviews, should have believed the 1 star reviews warning tape removes the paint ! Other reviews state not very sticky, mine was very sticky, so much so that the tape pulled off the primer and the top coat ! Produced a lovely curve on model, but now have to do it again!

Can be used for all sorts of purposes.
