Irwin 990UHP Fine Handsaw 22-inch / 550mm

I was very impressed with the saw and the swift delivery, although the package it came in was huge considering the size of the saw. However it certainly arrived undamaged and without damaging anyone en route.The quality of the saw is exceptional especially considering the low price - it far exceeded my expectations. Ultra sharp and very comfortable to handle. I rate this at the maximum - and still would if the stars went up to ten!

I tend to be quite meticulous in planning DIY tasks due, alas, to a combination of mechanical ineptitude and accident magnetism. Fitting new window ledges was always going to be an interesting day. Having got the basics out of the way ( first aid kit, ambulance service on speed dial and path to fuse box cleared ) I took this out of its sleeve and joined battle with a 5.6m x 250mm x25mm length of MDF window ledge. For £8 I was extremely impressed. It not only cut very easily but remarkably cleanly. And no blood!Another job like that and this will go from saw to talisman.

Great saw, cuts wood like a hot knife through butter. You dont have to put pressure or too much effort when cutting, just let the teeth and blade do its job.

Bought primarily for cutting some plywood sheet. I'm not a professional woodworker, but for me the results were perfect. Taking it steady gave absolutely clean rips and a small amount of back surface 'feathering' on the cross cut - can't call it splintering because, once sanded, the back surface looked as good as the front! I'd certainly recommend this saw.

I forgot how easy it is to saw a piece of wood until I bought this saw. Sharp teeth is the answer and these certainly are sharp! Have to see how long they stay that way.

Bought as a gift so cannot vouch for funtion but I can see from the saw edge this will make a good fine cut. Feels nice in the hands. Pleased with my choice.
