PentairSkimmer Door Weir Flap Replacement 85001500 Admiral Skimmer S-20

I had tried to buy a skimmer door at different pool stores. None of them fit. When this door came we knew it was the right size but it was caught up on one side. We skimmed off the side a tiny bit and it fit just fine and works great. It was not the problem of the part. My pebble tech had attached to a piece of rock and when we fixed it everything fit fine.

Shipping took longer than I would have liked, but it fit perfectly and is doing it's job. Hopefully it will work for years to come.

Seems a little overpriced but works great and was easy to install. Pool was without a flapper when we purchased it last fall and just realized that this is needed. Improved skimming function immediately.

True to size. Had to trim some off the edges and open up the tabs to fit over the pins. Actually broke one pin trying to push on which created a new problem, not happy. lucky I'm handy and managed to fix it. Be careful if its an older pool as the plastic can be brittle. In hind site the spring loaded option may have been a better choice.

First I bought a "universal" replacement door and it didn't work - this skimmer needs a unique door. Easy to install - follow the instructions. It can be installed from the skimmer cover hole if you know what you are doing - otherwise easy to do from the pool. As others have said, buy the rubber bumper part as well - pricey, but necessary. You may need to bend the bumper out of the way as you swing the door in place, no problem, it's flexible.

Had to replace Pentair weir flap after 20+ years. Not bad. Removed old broken flap only to find it was not the OEM part, but was able to install the new one with relative ease despite no instructions or available YouTube video for this skimmer. Skimmer appears to be operating fine 6 hours after install.

I don’t know why “sheerness” is an suggested feature. These are solid white. They are a little difficult to install, but that is not the fault skinner door. It is the nature of the way it attaches. I did not have to modify anything. Once I got it tilted down enough, it popped in and I it was good to go. Probably easier if water level below mouth of skimmer, but I didn’t want to waste water or wait until the water got low to install them.
