True Hiking Shoes feel like comfortable Running shoes
I’m a big fan of ASICS running shoes. These Columbia Hatanas are very much like them.They can be worn wear for walking on pavement, etc. However, they are designed to be off-road/hiking shoes. They are serious shoes to be worn in pretty serious terrain.I highly recommend them.(Male-6’3” 230lbs. Size 12- True to size)

These have become my everyday shoes instead of my hiking shoes
I bought these because it always rains around here, and I needed waterproof shoes for long walks and hikes. Even after being broken in, these shoes aren't quite right for me to walk a long distance. My feet get sore right behind the ball of the foot, in front of the arch. But, I really like these shoes as long as I don't have to walk very far, and they've become my favorite everyday shoes for going to the gym or on errands. They look really good with my clothes. But I still use my older New Balance shoes for longer distances.

Great cushion and very confortable
Outstanding support and cushion. These hiking shoes are excellent for walks either in cities or in the countryside. They have a great quality but most important they provide an excellent cushioning. They also are robust enough to deal with hard terrain without looking confortability.

Much better than expected
I bought these from Amazon after trying them on in a local store and feeling okay about the initial fit. I am writing this review after several months of wearing these doing just about everything and being pleased with it all. The toe box is spacious and the shoe breathes very well. I am a hiker and have used Merrell's on multiple 100 mile sections of the AT. I have not taken these out to the Appalachian Trail yet, but I'm strongly considering it. The Merrells did not dry that well when wet so I wanted to try these. They are a bit lighter and very comfortable. I believe they are great as a trail running shoe and will be equally as good as a hiker. My only concern is that they are discovered by hikers as a great shoe and the price spikes.

Lightweight Quickdrying Thick Soles
I'm not a hardcore hiker but needed some shoes i could hike and also walk in the rain with and not worry about ruining shoes. These fit very well, great support, and dried very quickly after touring a city in the rain.Good value as well.
