I love these pickups
Such fine pickups. Chimey, twangy, everything you want in a vintage Fender single-coil. Such beautiful tone--you can jangle away all day, and you can *definitely* surf with these too. They do the nasty, gritty, Dick Dale thing well. In other words these pickups are the real deal. USA-made. If you're going for 60s tone I'm not really sure why you'd spend more on a Jag set from a boutique maker.I used them for a weekend project (modding an old Squier Jagmaster I grabbed off craigslist). As for installation the leads are plenty long for any weird application you might have in mind and the pushback wire is a nice touch for those who lack good wire strippers or get sick of picking them up and putting them down when soldering (which is me). And the pickups come packed in this great springy foam--exactly the kind you need to use when direct-mounting the pickups in fact!Oh as for looks... They're definitely a light "vintage white." Lighter than the cream-bordering-on-tan you sometimes see.

Incredible Sounding Pickups!
I've been playing guitars for 36 years, just recently built a Fender Jaguar with Warmoth parts. I did a lot of research on Youtube listening to different iterations of Jaguar pickups and I decided to go with these. They are so so great! Twangy sparkly highs with a magical mid to low end bite that hits you right in the gut! Best guitar pickups I could have chosen for my particular musical taste. I am generally into sounds that range The Smiths, Sonic Youth, Nirvana, 60's music... but these pickups can do all that and more. I Highly recommend! Also their less expensive then most of the others that were at the top of my list. I wired the guitar with a 500k tone pot and a. 250k volume pot. (I did not wire the guitars rhythm circuit as that is useless for means my style). Get them!

Best Jag pickups
The Fender 65s here are the best modern pickup that can give you a vintage 1965 era Jag sound. I've had three guitars now with them in it and they sound great. The one star reviews here either came from people with defective pickups or they didn't know how to wire them in properly. The pickups sound great and are pretty loud and full on all positions when wired in correctly.

Great upgrade for Squier Jag
I put this set in a Squier CV 60s Jaguar, along with smaller value pots in both circuits. I really love the sound. Short wires from rhythm pickup make it awkward to do alternate wirings, and I wound up having to fix a minor grounding issue on that same pickup; not sure if just a factory defect or installation mishap. With it all set up, I’m very happy.

Nice pickups but be wary of bad wiring
After trying a few Jaguar pickups I settled on these as a great all around Jaguar sound. As an upgrade to the Squier pickups in their classic vibe Jaguars, the PV65’s are a good option. They sound cleaner, clearer, more articulate, and slightly brighter than the Squier pickups. Very reasonably priced compared to many other aftermarket brands. Just had one problem. One of the pickups was wired backwards. I originally installed them as they came, with both black wires to ground (and also grounded to the claws). Then I noticed that the position with both pickups on was not hum cancelling and sounded all weird. The pickups were out of phase. Pulled the bridge pickup, at random, and swapped the hot and ground wires and changed the claw ground to the new black wire. Now, they work correctly, in phase and hum cancelling when both on. So, watch out for quality control, or lack thereof. Otherwise, they’d get five stars.EDIT: I ended up getting a couple more sets of these to replace pickups in a Bass VI. I needed three pickups but buying two sets for four pickups was still cheaper than any alternatives. Three of the four worked fine. One had a bad connection from the windings to the output wire. A bit of resoldering and it’s fine. I stand by what I said earlier. Nice pickups, poor quality control and manufacturing. You shouldn’t have to repair new things to make them work.

Very Nice Upgrade Pickups
I have a Squier VM Jaguar. It came with Duncan Designed Pickups, but they just never sounded very good for Surf music. I took a chance with the Fender PV65 Jaguar pickups, and the difference was amazing. Very sweet sounding, balanced high to low, just perfect. I am very happy with these pickups.

Great bargain...
Considering the new Vintage Modified Seymour Duncan pickups were going for the same price these were a no brainer. This finished off a Squier Jaguar VM into something just a little more special from the average one.The output is a little lower than a Strat single coil but if its a shred pickup you want you wouldn't be looking at these anyhow. My father, skeptical that a Jaguar is anything other than a 'one-trick' surf guitar was pleasantly surprised at how close to a Shadows/Hank sound he could get out of it.
