Are the plastic corners actually holding the aluminum together?

There is a bolt on each of the top corners within a plastic sleeve that holds both sides together. The bottom also has a plastic corner with what appears to be a rivet through the aluminum Little difficult to describe but It is not a single aluminum cast or a weld. Very solid construction. Very satisfied with this purchase.

How far is the hitch pin hole from the rack?

From center of pin it is 6 and a 1/4 inches to edge of rack

Is it 100% aluminum including the receiver?

The receiver is not aluminum, only the rack. It sits on a metal rack and receiver. It is very sturdy.

It's it long enough to carry a bicycle?

It is long enough to carry a bicycle, however a larger bike might need to be placed angled corner to corner.
