we followed directions and also put in a pillow top that zips in to a liner. my wifes side does not move when i lay down. ive had waterbeds since the 70's and thi is the best ever had.

I thought this mattress would be wave less like my last mattress was, and that is not the case. I waited 30 days to see if maybe it would get better with fewer “waves”, but it hasn't.Also, the thermal “barrier” between the two sides does not work sufficiently. One side set a few degrees lower brings down the temp on the other side, and the heater runs almost constantly on the warmer side as the heat bleeds into the other mattress.Also, as said in other posts, the valves are right where your feet rest and you can feel them.I expected a lot more from a mattress in this price range.

This bed is very comfortable and almost nearly waveless. I knocked a star off the review due to the lack of instructions included with the mattress. You actually receive two mattresses with a thermal barrier piece to be placed between the mattresses. I was concerned about the seam between the two mattresses, but so far it has not been an issue. I like being able to get in and out of the bed without disturbing my husband, and we can keep each side of the bed as warm as cool as we wish by adjusting the heater for that mattress. It provides a firm support without having pressure points. I wake each morning refreshed without the aches and pains associated with sleeping in regular bed.Update September 18, 2013I woke up today to find that one of the corners of the bed is leaking. Since I've only had this bed for a little over a month, this points to a lack of quality control. Very disappointing, since otherwise the bed is very comfortable.Update October 31, 2013I contacted Amazon and they shipped a replacement mattress. So far, so good. No leaks and very comfortable. One thing I noticed is that the first mattress had a very strong vinyl smell several weeks after it was installed, the replacement mattress does not have the strong odor.

I can't really say enough good things about it. Had it for about a month and a ½ It's nice that me and my wife have our own temperature and firmness setting. it's nice being able to get out of bed without waking my wife up.
