Perfect for my needs
I am not in anyway a professional videographer so it will not be wise to spend several hundreds of dollars for a rig that i will use only on my free time. This rig totally meets my needs without breaking the bank. I got this to use with my Canon 60D.1) Before i received this, i was expecting to buy rail raisers for the matte box and the follow focus because i use battery packs on my canons and therefore i anticipated my 60D will sit high on the rail. Didn't have to - the matte box and the FF are both adjustable height wise.2) Matte box is pretty sturdy plastic. French flag and side flaps hold position. Of course, it doesn't have slots for filters. I don't use filters on videos anyway.3) Follow focus - i was initially disappointed bec after mounting it, the movement seems stiff and "bumpy". Some readjustments and realignments later, it is now smooth. Not on top of its class but serves the purpose well.4) hand grips - good rubber, comfy. I am yet to find the best position for the top handle - will get back to it later to find a good balance for the weight of the rig and camera5) shoulder support - comfortable, sits well on my shoulder.6) Parts of whole rig hold their positions well after tightening. I find it easier to tighten and lock into position this rig compared to my other rig.

Absolutely awful, fell apart, hard to use
I can’t tell you how much I wish I never bought this product. I used it very few times, it wasn’t terribly user friendly, the follow focus could never properly grip, so it didn’t work well, the thing was just a nightmare. Then pieces started falling off…it’s just furniture in my room now.

Great begginer and hobbiest cinematographers tool!
This an excellent starter shoulder rig. Well built and fully customizable, uses 15mm rails which are industry standard so you can keep adding to the rig without compatibility issues. Ive used this on a couple of music video and concert shoots and haven't had any issues with it.The follow focus system is a bit tight, but is still functional. everything else is tight and solid. I feel very comfortable strapping my camera into it. I really enjoy how versatile it is. Definitely not a pro set up, but for the price its an excellent starter kit for hobbyist and beginners.

Pretty Schwifty Man
Great deal for $88! The barn doors are a little cheap, and I feel like they might break if I'm not super careful. Also all of the connectors don't seem to get tight enough, so no matter how hard I tighten it, the pieces can still spin sometimes. Which could be crucial in the middle of a shot. Other than that! The tripod plate seems very well built, machining on the metal is nice, grips are amazing, there is room for more attachments if you need them, shoulder rest is decent. I think it's a good buy!

Don't have to hesitate with this one!
Great shoulder rig! I use with my Canon T5i, fit perfectly! I even bought a viewfinder and was able to mount that on as well since everything is adjustable I had no issues. I got what I paid for and more! The follow focus isn't as hard to use as some other review have suggested for this product. the price is great for the professional look you get bot only in the footage but also in your own appearance when your on the set or doing a session for someone. I give it a big 5 starz! :D Thanks guys!

Three Stars
Shoulder mount sucks, but other than that great mount for the price. You get what you pay for.

mmmhhhh
pretty much get what you pay for. This thing is very difficult to use. 1. the tighteners for all the bars are very difficult to get tight enough to make the bars stay put. 2. There is only one screw to hold your camera on the base-plate which means you need to use pliers to get it tight enough to stay put- otherwise it slightly moves off center and away from the follow focus gear. 3. being able to use the matt-box would be great if my lens could fit - I'm using 5D MIII with the kit lens. If I wanted to use the matt-box I'd have to dremel the hold larger myself. (side note- the mat box should be able to fit my size lens) 4. if mattbox were useable for me then I guess above #2 situation would improve as the matt-box might help to hold the lens in place but that hardly seems a reliable method. All in all, u get what you pay for! spend $ on the good stuff and avoid strife in your life.
