Perfect
Bought this to replace the clamp on my vanguard ABH-120L ball head. I got tired of the locking lever on the vanguard clamp and having to readjust the clamp when changing plates. This Sunwayfoto clamp is a perfect fit and is well made all metal construction. Price is about what I would expect to pay. Just be sure to purchase the correct size for the plates you're going to use, this clamp is the 60mm size. I really like the thumbscrew design as its much easier to tighten down and doesn't need adusting if you use different plates. I have used this clamp with a Kirk L Bracket, my older 60mm vanguard plates and recently discovered it works with the foot on my lens tripod collar. Only issue I had was the supplied screw was too long so I used the screw from the old clamp to mount it to the ball head, problem solved.

It binded so bad that I couldn't use it on the photo shoot
I'm sure I got a lemon but I lost confidence in this product so didn't ask for a replacement. It binded so bad that I couldn't use it on the photo shoot. I have an old Kirk 2.5 inch second hand that is totally dependable and solid. I also have a Arca Swiss ball head that came with my cheap tripod that works fine also. My other three vanguard ball head and clamps work great too. I was totally disappointed and just expected it to work.

Worse, reflecting quality control
While I will keep it, not worth the upper end price of the 'budget - no name' units. As I am switching from Manfrotto RC2 to Arca Swiss was hoping this one had a secondary catch on the tightening knob. While virtually all are designed for the pins on each side of the plate to keep from slipping out, open the jaws wide enough and it will flop out. My Benro iB2 has a unique feature where the tightening know will open just so far so the plat will slide between the stops, but requires pulling the knob out to complete fully loosening. All should be designed that way! This one isn't so save your money and get the cheaper ones at half the price that don't do it either. This one is designed to accept the 3/8 mount directly and came with a 1/4 adapter and a 1/4 by 1" screw with an allen wrench to tighten. While wouldn't be a problem with most applications that are attach and forget with it permanetly mounted, this one was intended to replace a movable/adjustable propriatary unit attached to a rail on the Cowboy Studios Panaramic head. Based on lens need to adjust position along th rail for parallax setting. The "D" adapter is imperrative in that situation to hand loosen and tighten - not go find the allen wrench. Luckilly, the "D" attachment remained on the head and could be used and works quite well. Worse, reflecting quality control, the supplied screw couldn't be used in ANY application. The standard, including their supplied 3/8 to 1/4 adapter, used the course 1/4 20 thread, but the supplied screw was the fine 1/4 28 thread.

Well Made and Good Price
I normally purchase RRS. This is a very well made substitute. Put it on my Benro monopod, which will be low impact use.

Excellent Product
This is an excellent clamp at reasonable price. I bought multiple unit (with 10% discount on each - please check the special offer from vendor and type the promotional code before final payment at Amazon.com).This Arca-Swiss compatible clamp helps me to standardize all existing Gitzo and Manfrotto tripod heads.Pros:-It accepts almost all commercially available A-S quick plates.-All metal parts (including the knob, except the bubble level)-Nice shipping package (including tool and screws)-Smooth operations-Fit all tripod head or plate - standardize for A-S compatibility-Best price for 50-60mm length of clampCon:NoneFor those people who are interested, the Sunwayfoto brand is the original factory brand who manufactures Benro and Induro products, and Sunwayfoto offers better quality: there is no rubber part or coating, the scale marking is better. Strongly recommended.

Perfect quallity, tide and safe hold
Perfect quallity, tide and safe hold. I use this on top of my Vanguard ballhead as Vanguards quick release are not ARCA-SWISS compatible. But whis this clamp it's no longer an issue. I just mounted it on the Vanguard quick release plate and with that I upgraded it to an Arca compatible one and can use my camera with all my other gear too, without changing the quick change plate. Works perfect. You can find more details in attached pictures.

Disappointing clamp
Cheaply made. I am afraid that they may damage my lens in the event it fails. I threw it away since it was too late to return it once I tried using it.

Parts Compatibility and Tolerance Issues
Purchased this Sunwayfoto Arca compatible clamp as a replacement clamp, to be install on top of a ball head that was not arca compatable, hoping to make it compatible with my other Arca plates. I opened the box and found the supplied 1/4" screw that is supposed to work with the supplied 1/4" - 3/8" brass adapter will not even thread into that adapter. Either the threads are wrong on the screw or wrong in the adapter. Either way they wont screw together and work. Also, I want to point out that the product description states "brass bushing adapter (included)" however the bushing is not brass. When I purchased this clamp I fully expected the description to be accurate and parts to be functional. Now I get to go to a hardware store or camera store and purchase the necessary parts or skrounge up bolts/bushings that will possibly work.More importantly, the jaws do not open far enough allow the plate to fit within. When I open the jaws of the clamp to their maximum width, I have to slide the plate in from either end, not straight on. They are almost wide enough but not quite. I suppose I could file down the edges of the jaws to increase the maximum opening but in light of the aforementioned problem am consider returning to Amazon, something I have never had to do before.
