Clean tasting, lovely bite of dark chocolate
On the hunt for THE perfect chocolate chip cookie I found my holy grail recipe and Chip combination!! I use Jacques Torres’ recipe (thank you SO much!!!), and 9 oz of these fevres and 7 ounces of semisweet morsels (60% dark chocolate). Yes they are expensive, but they are worth it as they taste so clean, so clear, just CHOCOLATE. No fillers, no crap. And then with the fresh ingredients you supply with a freshly baked, lightly sea-salted chocolate chip cookie? Heaven!These fevres are pretty big! The recipe I mentioned above calls for a 3 oz cookie. That’s a BIG cookie! Instead I put the fevres in a plastic baggie and chop them down with a meat tenderizer (the toothed side works a lot better than the flat side). I leave a few large pieces so you get the BIG melts.If you don’t have the $$ for Valhrona there are companies that offer 70% dark chocolate chips that are much less expensive! I have tried them, and they are yummy!! Guitarrds, Yupix, Ghirardelli’s, tried a couple smaller local’s. The BEST in my humble opinion are Valhrona’s. Once you try this blend? You’ll never go to tollhouse morsels again!Hope this helps in your decision. Yes this IS pricey chocolate! But this IS premier chocolate. In my opinion it’s the Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Shelby of chocolate.

Great quality
This is an amazing quality chocolate. I use it to pour into my chocolate molds. Ànd all the variations of chocolates I make taste like they came from a chocolatier.

worth the price
This chocolate was a little pricey but when I think about all the bad ingredients that most chocolate includes I figure I will be saving somewhere down the line in medical bills. The ingredients are not only pretty clean but the chocolate was very fresh, creamy - it has a true heavenly taste and I will order again.

MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE CHOCOLATE FOR BAKING!!
I use Valrhona Guanaja for every recipe calling for dark chocolate or chocolate chips. Okay, chopping chocolate for recipes isn't fun, but it's soooo worth the trouble. What a great flavor! Valrhona products show up in the Top 10 Lists for dark chocolate all the time and is used my many chocolatiers for their creations.

BEST CHOCOLATE!!!!
I have always made my homemade chocolate pies with Baker's Unsweetened Chocolate and they have always been good. This year I tried Valrhona chocolate after watching a chocolate TV show. WOW oh WOW!!! My pie came out incredible and smooth like silk. The taste was creamy and delicious. I will NEVER use ANOTHER CHOCOLATE!! My family is still talking about that chocolate pie and it's been over a month.

THE chocolate you really need!
This was recommended as the chocolate to use for chocolate chip cookies in The Artful Baker cookbook( an amazing cookbook!) It is a wonderful high-end dark chocolate that is so smooth and sweet. It DOES make a difference in this cookie. (Don’t use chocolate chips which are designed NOT to melt!) this is worth the cost.

Excellent flavor and consistency but very expensive!
I purchased this chocolate because it was called for in a recipe for chocolate molten lava cake. The flavor and constituency were excellent. Only drawback is the cost! Very expensive!
