Q: how long is the chair fully extended ?

Not sure. But be aware the chairs started to rust after 12 days

Q: How long will these last if in direct sun?

They seem to be holding up well in the sun with regard to fading, etc. I have the blue ones and only for this season so far. But as I wrote in my review, the immediate rusting is a bigger problem.

Q: Will someone 6 feet tall fit comfortably in this chair ?

Yes , my son is 6’4” and he loves his chair.

Q: How far off the ground do these sit?

They are normal seating height. Maybe 18-24” off the ground. They are not low like fold up beach chairs.
