Top quality cuff!
I bought this Sphygmomanometer for use in my Trauma Bag. The cuff is incredibly well-made, the gauge itself came calibrated perfectly (see photo) and the materials are high quality. The Velcro is super strong and not likely to not stick to itself like lower quality hook and loop materials. Nice quality bulb and valve is smooth and easy to regulate the air venting. The gauge is beautiful chrome and the tubing is not too long to get in the way. It does NOT have a "C" clip so taking your own BP is requires you to set the cuff to a certain diameter and slide it up your arm, this is not a big issue and only takes a few seconds. This is highly accurate and well built. No doubt it will last me years as I take very good care of my tools. I went back and forth on Amazon before choosing this one, sure glad I did!

Great Cuff; bulb won't re-inflate after less than 100 uses. ***Update great Customer Service***
I bought this BP Cuff to practice for my CNA class and state tests. It works great and does what it's supposed to.Because of the ADC packaging, one of the tubes is permanently creased right where it comes out of the cuff and I worry that it will crack or break at some point. My instructor said not to worry about it, so I won't take a star off for it, especially since it has a lifetime warranty. The Large Adult size is the average, most common size and has fit pretty much everyone I've practiced on.LOVE the glow in the dark dial for not waking up whomever it's being used on with harsh lights.*****Update May 2017*****I ended up with late term preeclampsia and needed my BP checked weekly for a few months following the birth of my second. However, I can confidently say this has been used less than 100 times in the last 5 years.I reviewed an ADC Stethoscope that's coating rubbed off after a while, and didn't notice the ADC CSR's comment on it until earlier this year and recently e-mailed them to get an address to send it back to. This ADC bp cuff (that I purchased at the same time) stopped working at the end of my home BP checks in 2016, so I'm sending that back too (bulb takes an hour to re-inflate when valve is wide open). I will update with how the replacement process goes. So far they have been very responsive and helpful via email.***Update June 2017***BP Cuff came back fixed, brand new stethoscope and new first aid scissors for my trouble. Great Customer Service!!! 5 stars.

Great pocket sphygmomanometer!
This just came in the mail today and I must say that I am pretty impressed with the quality of this product. The cuff is durable/comfortable and the gauge is nice and heavy like a solid piece of metal should feel. The reasonable price on this product for its high quality is what sets it apart from others. I went for the manual sphygmomanometer because I think it is more accurate than the auto bp devices (I mean come on, what does a machine know about Korotkoff sounds???) Just keep in mind that you will need a steth handy for this to work. If you want self-monitoring bp devices maybe consider one that is easier to use with only one person (the cuff is kind of awkward to put on one's self but still doable I guess). Also this is an "anaeroid" sphygmo meaning that it uses a liquid other than mercury to determine the pressure of the cuff. According to Bate's Guide to Physical Examination, anaeroids should be re-calibrated every so often, a service which ADC will apparently do free of charge (according to the manual). Overall, I highly recommend this product!

Great quality for the expense
I purchased this cuff as a replacement for a cheaper $25 Prestige Medical unit that kept falling apart. I decided to spend a little more to get better quality. Well, needless to say, you get what you pay for. This blood pressure cuff is very sturdy and extremely accurate. I never worry about the palm gauge coming off the cuff while under pressure (unlike the cheaper units out there where this would happen often), the gauge is easy to read, and my patients remark about its comfort. In fact, I find that the other medical assistants in the office prefer using this unit to their own. The only drawback was that it needed to be calibrated as soon as it came in. I understand that will happen, and it wasn't hard to bring it to my local hospital to have it done, and therefor not enough to effect my rating of it.I highly recommend spending a little more for a quality product such as this. I am very happy with it.

very pleased
I bought this item to replace the inaccurate automatic self-test unit I recently purchased. This meter is well made and solid, and the arm cuff is large enough for a guy who has larger upper arms. To those of you who monitor your blood pressure at home, don't waste your money on those automatic self-test units. Most of them are dangerously inaccurate and inconsistant. Buy a sphygmomanometer and a top of the line stethoscope, not one of the "student" models that have lousy acoustics (no matter what the reviews say). It takes a bit of patience and practice to learn how to use these devises but the readings will be very close to those of a medical professional. These more professional devises cost a bit more, but compared to what many things cost these days, they are a bargain because your life is at stake. This devise comes with few instructions (why I gave it only 4 stars rather than 5), but there are well-written step by step instructions online at WebMed.com. If you are using the meter by yourself, to wrap the cuff around your arm, just attach the correct end of the cuff to your arm with a piece of painter's tape and wrap the rest on top. The cuff only needs to be snug, not tight, and be sure to line up the stethoscope mark with the vein inside your elbow. Finally, I'd suggest buying any equipment like this directly from Amazon because they accept returns, rather than from some of their associates who don't.
