Will never need two rubber mallets again.
I do a lot of specialized construction work, using a black mallet for grunt work where I do not want to mess up the white mallet I have. This mallet makes life easier (every little bit helps). In the past, the ones I used had wooden handles and eventually the shock of the rubber strikes being transferred into the closest solid/ grounding thing, its head would break off. Being tension/molded attached to the handle, there's no repairing it, done deal, its a goner, no looking back or forwards... With a fiberglass handle, that story is closed. Solid investment, especially for cabinet installation and IKEA penance seekers.

Decent rubber hammer but piece chipped off
Bought this for hammering masonry and wood. It worked great for a few weeks, but a few days ago I noticed there was a small piece missing. It’s possible I might have hit an edge/rocky part, but I haven’t seen it happen with my other rubber hammers.

Nice Mallet
Needed a mallet to take apart something (in the future, haven't done it yet) and this seems like it will do nicely, solidly made.

It's a good mallet, not a hammer.
What I liked best was the weight and build. haven't had it very long but it seems to be doing the job.
