Double Devon Cream - 6 Ounce (170g) - 4 Pk

On occasion I put cream in my coffee, usually Sunday mornings while reading the paper. The problem of course is the quality of cream, and other dairy products, found in the typical grocery store. The cream, and milk, is usually ultra-pasteurized, resulting in a dead food with little actual flavor and little actual nutrition and grocery store cream of course comes adulterated with carrageenan and often other chemicals, even so-called "organic" cream.I purchased this English double Devon cream in the hopes I could use it in my Sunday morning coffee but it didn't quite work out due to the amount required to get to the level of flavor I enjoy. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious but I had to use almost half the jar before I was satisfied and at almost $6 per jar, it was too expensive.However, this product positively shines as a condiment. Using a dab on a (grocery store) peach was fantastic. Spreading a bit on a large strawberry was bliss according to The Wife Unit. Heck, even a spoonful straight from the jar was eye-rollingly good. Just for grins I tried a dab of the cream on a buttered toast-point with raspberry jam and the flavor was worthy of a paragraph or two in Gourmet Magazine. Beautiful.Even though it is cost prohibitive for use in my coffee, I will continue to purchase this English Double Devon Cream; it's just too danged good on fruit and berries. If you're not a lipophobe, this 48% butterfat cream is definitely a worthy component of a light fruit/berry meal.

The media could not be loaded. I order these 2 days ago, they arrived today. Three of them the seals were broken and they are separated and one of them was leaking and COVERED in mold!!!

I moved from a major metropolitan city to a rural area surrounded by dozens of small to moderate-sized towns. As with many other items I was accustomed to buying in local markets for years, I drove around like a crazy person checking every market and specialty shop within an hour's radius of my new home trying to find any place that carried this item with absolutely no luck. ARGH!!! So I now have to order it online.Yes, of course this can't compare to the fresh Devon cream you can get in the UK. Anyone who expects an item that comes in a jar to be the same as fresh is being completely unrealistic. But if you're in the US, this is as close to fresh as you can possibly get. It's 100% pure Devon cream with no other additives or ingredients, and I'm very grateful to be able to get this here in the US at all. And after snarfing down English muffins topped with Devon cream and lemon curd for the first time in three long years, my tummy is grateful, too! Yum!

It was all sour. Delivered & left in the heat too long. Top of jars were not closed properly, too loose. Will not order this again on line. Thanks.

Although the product was very well packed one of the jars top had become loose during shipping and it reeked of very very rotten dairy. The two that were unopened that I used were very good. I still have not checked the third which is wrapped in bubble wrap. Since this was an expensive product it made it more expensive as I only potentially have three instead of the four. And that is if the fourth one is good when I open it.

One bottle crushed. The other 3 bottles cream was all separated. Totally unusable. What a waste. Box was wet, at least the other items shipped together weren’t ruined

I had read some complains for this cream, but I still want to try another order. I can say, it is the best.
