My absolute favorite light modifier, the color and quality of light is superb! Yes, it's a big investment, not only did I purchase the reflector, I purchased the glass dome for my D1 and the glass center disk to eliminate the circle reflection on the nose. HOWEVER, it is now MONEY in my pocket! So little time editing, my headshots are pretty much open in Capture One, auto adjust, remove blemishes, export and deliver to client. It's that good! I bought a cheap sock and you can see a really visible difference in the color of the light so I am biting the bullet and investing in the Profoto sock and grid next. Yes, expensive, but worth every penny!As reference, I had another brand strobe and beauty dish for 3-4 years and it was just OK...never could figure out what the hype was about a beauty dish....now I know!!

The beauty dish is a must-have if love that middle point between hard light and soft light. It’s ideal for fashion portraits and beauty photography. Quality is great, just a little prone to scratch in the back. I use it all the time with my D1’s.
