Didn't Last a Month
Do not buy this! It didn't last for even one month and unfortunately, it had taken a couple weeks to get it installed so it was beyond the return date. Even worse, I emailed Interstate weeks ago with all of the order information seeking assistance and they have not replied. So glad I happened to return to the shop that night. I heard a loud air leak sound and the shop was full of smoke and a burning smell. The compressor had been running for way too long and was overheating. This was because this brand new automatic drain valve had failed and stuck open. Air was constantly leaking out through this valve so the air compressor was struggling to keep up.The valve had made a couple growling sounds previously, but I didn't know if that was normal since it still worked. When pressing the button, it will illuminate ON for a second or two, then goes to and remains illuminating OFF. It will not work at all to stop airflow, it fails in the open position. The whole shop could have burned down. This product is a dangerous fire hazard. Good thing I had added manual valves between this electronic one and the tank so I can still use the compressor and just drain it manually several times each day and night. If this valve would fail closed shut, it would be much safer but it doesn't.I cannot recommend this product because it is hazardous and the company is unresponsive. I wouldn't trust a replacement from them anyway, just a refund and a promise to recall their defective devices so they can be redesigned.
