Awesome charger! Finally I can charge my mid-2015 15-inch Macbook Pro on the go. The additional USB ports for phones and other devices are super useful and I appreciate the small/compact size. The charger does get hot though, so I make sure to unplug it when not in use for safe measures. Great option for traveling and van lifers.

Bought this car charger for my 2017 MacBook Air a1466. Went camping for a few days and tried a few times to charge it up. Once I drove for two straight hours. Did not increase the charge even one percent. Maybe I just got a defective one. In any case it has to go back. Pain in the ...Update 1 September 2019I talked to the Rep for the company and he suggested I just got a defective product so I took a chance and bought it again after returning the first one. I have had the current charger for 4 weeks now; used it regularly to charge my Macbook Air on a 20 day camping trip as my only source for charging and it has worked perfectly, maybe even better than I expected. I have read all the reviews (I'm a research nerd) about it not working in some car systems or it failing after a period of time. It works fine in my older Toyota and time will tell on how long it lasts. I only use it to charge my Mac Air, ipad and several other things; meaning I don't charge and play at the same time, I just charge. Raising my rating from one to four stars because it is working great right now. I'll give it the extra star if it lasts.Update January 2021Still Working

CAR CHARGERS ARE TRASH AS OF THIS DATE.First of all, make sure you read the review for the correct product. Amazon allows providers to group all reviews and stars for multiple products. It's a terribly flawed system. Stars mean nothing.FIRST DEFECTIVE CAR CHARGER - It work perfectly for ONE day. The second day I noticed it would not charged. I removed it and the retractable metal pin at the end was pushed in and would not come back out. Therefore it was not making a connection to supply power from the cig outlet. I asked for a replacement and it was sent quickly.SECOND DEFECTIVE CAR CHARGER - It work perfectly for one week and then the exact same thing happened. I thought I might have pushed it in to hard after the first one broke so to test that theory, I barely put it in and left it there. I never touched it after first plug in. Still the same results, it broke in a week.I live in my truck for work, It is my office and I have used many different cig outlet chargers. I have never had this problem with any of them until this BatPower. DO NOT WASTE your time with this.

So have had the Gissaral 90W charger for my 2017 MacBook Air and although appreciated that one even existed to charge my laptop with the required voltage its performance was poor. Came with the same 18 month warranty and the first one the pins broke inside where the cable connects to the unit, second one just die at a shorter time, and the third warranty replacement died really quickly so gave up replacing them under warranty. Saw this version on Amazon which is a 120W charger which I received today and upon opening the box was impressed. Impressively packaged, weight/quality of the charger is much higher, cable connection is a single pin versus the multi weak pins of the Gissaral, and it comes with 4 different quality charging cables. Plugged it in while on a road trip and it charged must faster than the Gissaral and didn't get hot at all which that unit did at times. Hope this is an indication of what to expect with its continued use. If so, will be buying a second one for my other vehicle. Don't usually do reviews upon receipt but quite impressed with the difference between these two versions and the price is pretty much the same. Thank you Bat Power and please continue to make quality products like this as word of mouth will ensure high sales. Will update my review if things change but fingers crossed this is the winner it appears to be.

This works exactly as advertised. We used it on a 14 hour drive and my MacBook Pro worked beautifully the entire trip, there and back. I had no issues with overheating, no glitches of any kind. It just works. I love that it has a port to charge my phone so I can do both at the same time. This is a must for travel!

What impressed me most is the high power, small size and variety of charging cables in this compact versatile car charger, the BatPower CCA2! My Macbook pro takes the most powerful charger Apple makes (AFAIK) and this car adapter equals it at the full 85Watts. My phone charges faster from it than the built in charging ports on a Tesla. It may not be apparent, but this charger comes with a Macbook magsafe1, magsafe2, USBC and a coax charging adapter that speedily charges my 25000maH portable power supply. That's 4 cables, all with good length and velcro wraps in a compact box.

I've Used on various vehicles and machines and these work fine for the short time they function properly. They seem to burn out very quickly. Solid Idea, not necessarily the best execution.

This is a great charger! Ive been using it for my MacBook Air while traveling and it’s worked perfectly.It charges quickly and I like the charging light that is red when it’s actively charging a device and turns green when the device is charged.
