Great buy with a real need.
This rca to HDMI converter is exactly what I needed. We have a WII and when we bought our new Samsung TV it didn't have a rca plugin. Hooked this up and it works perfectly. It's not mandatory, but you might want to order a USB to AC converter or find one from an old cell phone charger. If not you can power it by plugging it into a USB on the back of your tv. Would recommend if you have the need like I did.

No more changing RCAs every other day.
I love this product. I have a Nintendo 64 and a PS2 console station. It was becoming a real hassle to constantly go behind the tv to change between consoles but with this product I don't have to. I can have both my Nintendo 64 and PS2 plugged in at the same time. It's super easy to use and gives real bang for your buck. The picture quality isn't really different than what it was before. The images from my PS2 look about the same as they always have been and now I'm not climbing behind my tv everytime someone wants the change which console they are using.

Great Value for the price
This is a great product; I was a little Leary about it when I first used it, because when the tape first started to transfer from the VHS player to my TV it looked like it was going to be an issue. but it cleared up after a few seconds of playing. The best thing that I found out to do is get the tape rewound all the way to the beginning, then start it and let it play after a few seconds it clears up. If you are going to transfer to DVDS try this, then start to transfer when it clears up. Doing this fixed my problems, I would say this is a great buy, and I do recommend this product.

Works well.
No problems setting up on PC. I am using it with an old VHS to transfer old camcorder tapes to MP4. I would recommend it to friends ( but actually I would just lend them this one since I don't use it all the time).

Does what it says, but not without high pitched whining
Pretty much does exactly what it says, however I don’t think it works backwards, so if you want *HDMI TO RCA* and not vice verse, you need something else.Also, it is definitely worth noting that when you plug it in it seems to make a sort of high pitched whining sound, but it’s very high pitched, sort of at that frequency where it’s so high pitched you only notice it if you’re deliberately thinking about it after a while. But it’s VERY annoying at first.All in all, pretty much does exactly what it says, build quality seems decent, and the picture is as good or better than standard analog RCA connections (which, by the way, is not very good compared to your standard optical/hdmi connection haha). But it does its job so I can’t complain.
