These are tasty, relatively healthy snacks. Reasonable cost [18 meat sticks per pack.]I like them.

Out of the bag the regular (not honey version) are too tangy/vinegar-y for my taste. I suspect that the lactic acid (listed in the ingredients) acts as a preservative, but it takes away from what should be a good smoky-type flavor, in my opinion.I found that if you put them in the oven for about 10-15 minutes at 250-300F and then let them cool down for about 10-15 minutes the excessive tanginess goes away and the texture becomes firmer and denser-- similar to when foods are reduced in an air dryer (like true jerky). This provides a more concentrated flavor.It's a little bit of extra work to enjoy these, but I think it makes a big difference in the flavor and texture to do this.

I bought these for myself to snack on every now and then, but ended up having a bunch of friends over for a buddy's bachelor party...it didn't survive. We planned on going out, but it was cold and raining, so we stayed indoors all night as a a bunch of dudes sat around drinking and eating sausage sticks...pretty wiiiiiild bachelor party if you ask me! Anyways, these are tasty and apparently great for sausage parties.

These are one of my favorite low calorie high protein snacks, a staple!. Good value for the money.

They taste good, but your jawbone will get a real workout from all the chewing required. The casings are very tough

I like these a lot---they're seasoned just right. Not garlicky, salty, greasy or overly smoky. Once opened, they need to be refrigerated and consumed within seven days, but I have frozen them without any negative effect on taste or texture. Run the sticks under cold water until they become a bit bendy again. Cut into smaller pieces as part of a charcuterie board, cocktail party nibbles or an antipasto platter. An alternative meat selection for those who don't eat beef or pork.
