Intex Solar Cover for Swimming Pools Rectangular 378 x 186 cm multicoloured

Very happy with this item, we use in our 3m x 2m rectangle framed Intex pool, it’s a bit long so we just fold it over. I was amazed that it stays still on top of the water and doesn’t move around, it’s like it sucks to the water. The temperature of the water is definitely warmer, especially towards the end of a sunny day if it has been covered all day. The water isn’t hot but this definitely raises it a good few degrees so it’s warmer for the kids.

I was looking for something to help keep my pool clean and to warm it up a bit and the strong bubble wrap sheets like this seemed the best option. There are different ratings on the bubble wrap so cant compare with others but this is a well known brand and well finished off around the edges. I will cut to size and probably re stitch when I know how it lies on the pool and have fitted the steps but it warms up the top 2 or 3 inches of the water and the skimmer and pump help circulate it. Cant speak for longevity as only had it 2 weeks but does the job well so far ! For the price very good for keeping the insects and muck off and warming the water a little.

Great but basically just blue bubble wrap! It’s probably a bit stronger than the standard stuff but even so..... keeps heat in but not on colder days as it still loses heat and we have a pool heater! Definitely use with the pool cover.

Four weeks in and the Solar Cover is doing the job on our 24ft x 12ft pool. The Cover isn't flimsy; it feels like industrial strength bubble wrap! The children are less than gentle when ripping the Cover off the pool and dumping it on the lawn but we have yet to have a single 'bubble' popped. It is easy to pull into place and it 'clings' to the water so it doesn't blow away or move out of position with the wind. We have measured heat loss with and without the Solar Cover in place and it is certainly making a difference of perhaps 1-2 degrees which doesn't sound like a lot but every little helps! The Cover is really easy to pull back into position after we have used the pool and so it is much more likely that it will be used every time unlike our difficult-to-get-into-place tarpaulin which is usually just left on the grass. The Cover also offers protection against debris falling into the pool. The Cover comes in a big sturdy storage bag. Our Solar Cover was purchased from Splash and Relax who provided excellent delivery times and excellent customer service.

Seemed good to start. A year later and it is disintergrating. The bubbles are broken down and leaving plastic floating about and clogging the filter up. This is not our first pool and the other cover we have had for over 13 years and thats still absolutely fine, just a smaller one that unfortunately doesnt fit this pool. This is either not a true intex product or they have seriously dropped their quality. Not worth it.

Would recommend good quality keeps the heat in and bugs out

Would have given 5 stars but has 4 holes in the centre

We have had no problems using This - in direct sun light it does heat up the pool plus it keeps the bugs and flies out when on during the day
