Wow, It really deserves all 5 stars.
It could change how you think about coffee. My first cup was unlike anything a French press could ever put out. It is a little hard to clean, but the filter is washable and the quality is about what you would expect. Only the locking ring on the lower pot could be designed to self-open. That's it. And I don't use the alcohol burner. I prefer a small camping burner and fuel canister ($20).

Makes good coffee but the glass discolored due to heat
The media could not be loaded. This is a great product and makes great coffee. However, the glass bulb darkened due to heat exposure after only 4 uses! I also used bioethanol made for this coffee maker as well. So I am a bit disappointed with the current look of the item. Part of the experience is to be able to make the coffee in front of your guests but with a blackened glass, this item is no longer presentable unfortunately 😞
