This works very well!
One think to consider, which is NOT a fault of this product. When the dummy battery is inserted, you obviously cannot rest it safely, as the battery cover needs to be open, and there is a lead sticking out. I already had a mini-tripod which solved that for me.

Works well.
Arrived as described, as pictured, safe and sound. This adapter works quite well and works perfectly with a Canon S90 albeit it with some limitations. The build quality is fine for both the "dummy" battery itself and the power USB cable of which you also get a reasonable length. When it comes to the limitations I mentioned earlier, in my opinion the use of this product is limited to applications where the camera is static mounted with very little movement due to the battery door needing to be open and possible strain which would be placed on the little battery retention clip. Other than that, it works as intended and is recommended.

GREAT ADAPTER
In response to John Chewter - there should be a silicone "trapdoor" in the battery compartment door that allows the battery door to be closed - the jack pokes into the dummy battery via this silicone trapdoor - but yes a mini tripod is useful as it wouldn't sit flat on a surface due to the jack plug sticking out.I have one and used it to take a time lapse of over 5 days continuous shooting - no other way of doing this other that with the adapter (and CHDK software!!)Paid for itself as I sold the footage to a construction company for £200 !!
