Old days
My husband was in a military and has been looking for boots. There are similar to the ones in the military, and I think he found it in these. He absolutely loves them.

These Boots Were Made for Stomping
So...mistakes were made.Turns out it isn't a great idea to burn all the fallen sticks I collected over the previous spring and summer in a small burn pit. It didnt help that it was a windy day and the grass was still discolored from the snow. See the first picture. The fire was about to get out of hand. When I first noticed the fire outside of the pit the fire was raging. So much that it flared up with the wind and singed my eyelashes and eyebrows. Thankfully, my contact lenses didn't fuse to my eyes.So with no water, no fire blankets, and no maidens to help me kill this fire I did the first thing that came to mind, stomping the fire. I stomped the fire with these jungle boots and they did the job very well. My boots didn't melt or have any damage on them afterwards. They did feel mildly hot after stomping out the fire.Overall great boots that saved me the akwardness of being "that guy" the burned down his village.10/10 would recommend 👌

Good field boots for the price if you take care of them.
I wore Rothco and Altama boots during my time in the Army. Rothco is the cheaper brand, but was my go-to for daily wear and field use due to the lower cost. They run about a size larger than Altama, so you may want to size down from your normal issues size. The quality is as expected for the price. The first time you get them you should put them on with socks and take a shower in them. Let them dry out upside down, and they should fit fairly well.As with any leather boots you need to polish them. Get a Kiwi brush, black polish, and a heat gun. I put at least 4 layers on after each time I wear them. After about a month you will have a glass finish on them like patent leather. The main points of failure are the cloth and the eyelets. You don’t need the eyelets if you use 550 cord as your laces. Once the cloth tears you should consider replacing them.To make 550 cord laces cut the cordage to your desired length and use a lighter to melt the tips to prevent fraying. The 550 will outlast the boots and can easily be repaired in the field if it does break for some reason. It will also allow the eyelets to hold up better if the metal insert comes out.Air these out upside down and I like to use something like a spray of Febreeze to control odor. Another odor trick is to put a bit of baby powder in them after each time of wearing them.If you need something of high quality in terms of both longevity and appearance you may consider Altama, but for the price these make for much better field boots.

it really is enormous
I usually wear a size 10.5 or 11, so after reading all the other reviews of these boots, I bought the size 9, expecting it to be large. I was not disappointed -- this thing is at least size 11. Fits fairly well. I was slightly surprised to learn that the upper part of the boot is not the leather-ish material of the lower, but just plain nylon. I experienced the floor-marking qualities of the sole (don't drag your feet). It's surprisingly not a warm boot; my feet got cold when walking outside. I bought it for a halloween costume and it worked perfectly, it might even be good enough that I'll bring it on a fishing trip or something, but don't expect this to be a serious workhorse boot.

Crap,Crap, & MORE CRAP
This is the worst product I have ever ordered from anywhere! Incredible that Amazon even allows a product this bad to be sold on the site. First of all they were shipped in a plastic bag. Who ships any kind of footwear in a plastic bag especially leather. The toe of one boot was caved in when they showed up (BECAUSE THEY WERE SHIPPED IN A PLASTIC BAG!) There is no insole I mean none it is actually the cheap cardboardish stuff that is used to separate the uppers from the sole with a size tag in the shape of the heel. You can literally feel the sweatshop cheapness upon touching the material. With only a two day return window & no return info to go along with the cheapness is a full load of B.S.. I was going to return them but NO there is actually no way to do this. Ever time I tried the return menu said wait there is something wrong try again in 15 minutes. Please join me in boycotting Roth Co maybe then at least we can return them their CRAP! 0 f-ing stars!

5 stars for price; Not 5 stars for durability or Comfort.
Let me preface my review that These are going to be used for a Costume...I would never wear these if my feet needed be comfortable and dry. There is 0 ankle support. The sole is tough rubber and there is no in-sole in the boot for comfort.**Bonus points**Guess what cos-play I use them for...To make these boots remotely wearable for more than 20 minutes you have to add a Dr Scholl's insert (Or whatever company insert) for comfort.Once again, and lastly, If you stand all day and need confortable footwear, you're obviously not buying these. These are a novelty item.>Size- Fits true to any other work boot you would wear. (Tims, Red Wing, Bates, 5.11, etc) The boots are , for lack of a better adjective... "spacious." These are going to be great for wide feet, and narrow feet will be swimming around in the hull of these foul smelling boots.

I like this boots
It is not my first pair of boots and I was dying to get another pair of them. I bought my first pair a long time ago and after they got well worn out and got rid of them, I need to get another pair. They are great for hiking.

Great Boots
Exactly what I was expecting. As others have said, buy two sizes down from what you normally wear. I usually wear 11 in men’s, I ordered a 9 wide and they fit perfect. You’ll need to buy an insert for some foot support.
