One of the best Lego truck/trailer sets I have built! Lego designers are amazing, this set has tremendous play value, so well designed it will withstand all the play without coming apart.The trailer design with the articulating hitch is excellent, helicopter is perfect fit for trailer, helicopter rails are designed to set over nubs on trailer to stay in place. The helicopter is also perfect size for kids to play with, not too big, bulky. Easy lift cockpit windshield.Another plus with most newer sets from Lego, the boxes are big enough to hold the assembled components when completed, makes it easy to stow away when not being played with.Lego continues to up their game, in my opinion, still the best value in toys!OK, if you have read this far, I have a shopping tip for you. I save a lot of money by buying Lego items from Amazon Warehouse Deals (AWD). If you have any experience with Lego, you know it is almost impossible to break Lego blocks. All of the Lego items listed under AWD simply have damaged boxes, from negligible to significant crush, sometimes pierced. All items are inspected by Amazon, holes are taped over, etc. If you don't care about the box, have no intention of reselling, check it out! One note of caution, just because a Lego item is listed under AWD, it is not always the lowest price, so check first!

The LEGO City Heavy Cargo Transport 60183 Toy Truck Building Kit with Trailer, Toy Helicopter and Construction Minifigures for Creative Play (310 Pieces) is a lot of fun to build! This set has so much to offer for the imagination. My son put this together very easily and was focused the entire time. Recommended ages are 5-12 years old. This Lego set comes with a realistic detailed heavy toy truck with an opening cab and flatbed. A toy helicopter with spinning rotors and opening cockpit comes with the set. Bonus: truck driver and pilot Lego mini figurine. The toy truck is 3”H x 5”L x 2”W. Flatbed is 1”H x 10”L x 1”W. Helicopter is 3”H x 8”L x 1”W. My son plays with this set constantly. He incorporates other Lego sets with this set and gets very creative. Not only does he tow the helicopter but also other Lego vehicles he has. Overall great Lego set and a great value! Great gift!

This is a neat LEGO set with lots of playability. There’s never a shortage of helicopters in the LEGO city line, but this helicopter has a slightly different design than the typical helicopter.The truck that pulls the helicopter is really the treat in this set as it’s very realistic and provides quite a bit of size to the actual LEGO set. I like how big the truck is and how it serves as both a repair/service truck along with a transport truck.This set comes with two LEGO minifigs, which is fairly common for the small-mid size LEGO sets. It would have been nice to get a third minifig, but the overall piece count of this set (which is above average), helps make up for that missed opportunity.Overall, I like this set and think it adds a great vehicle to the city line-up. This set comes in 4 digestible project bags, 1-4. Bags 1 and 2 get the front truck completed (which is awesome, aesthetic, and structurally sound...and a more than satisfactory project in it's own right and deserving of 5 stars, at this price). The second two bags, the rest, including the helicopter...also very cool. The finished product looks amazing, and my 4 year old sat through the entirety of construction in two parts, putting each piece together (with a little assistance), and then immediately asked to do another "Lego City" project. The instructions are amazingly unambiguous, and simple. In about 2 hours, he learned to follow procedure/instructions, the importance of grit and sticking with it and completing a task, and it all seemed to refine his fine motor skills (by fitting and attaching each piece)... and the best part is, it's fun and he had no clue he was learning.

I am a huge fan of LEGO and this set is no exception but I have to mention that they simplicity in construction on the helicopter the rotor and chassis make them fall off constantly making even a simple play very disruptive. Other than this one critique this set is awesome.

I bought this for my 12 year old for his birthday. He loved it! It took him an afternoon to put it together and had hours of fun playing with it. It came in a brightly colored box as shown and was well packaged inside. No missing pieces, it actually had a few extras. The instructions were well written and illustrated and easy for him to follow. The helicopter fits perfectly on the back of the semi. The LEGO men that are included are well made. The semi is well build and so is the helicopter. The colors chosen for the set are perfect and bright. The legos all fit together perfectly and do not have any blemishes.

I myself am not a fan of Lego's but I guess it's because I have stepped on a few. This was one of my sons birthday gifts and he loved! Which we knew he would he's a Lego guy. It only took him an hour if that and it was together. So I would say it fairly easy to assemble. (He is 8 by the way) I liked the fact that once together you can actually drive the truck around which he and his siblings do. I would definitely buy again. Who knows I might just have a master builder on my hands.

My 5 year-old grandson loved getting this for his birthday! I went online, found a you tube video with step by step instructions--same as ones included--but we could look at it together. I merely watched and helped him if he started to miss any steps--after doing the trailer; he put the helicopter together by himself. The truck was a little more complicated--he got stuck part way through--as did I. I called Lego, gave the toy number and a man got us back on track. Yay Lego for having live help!!!!!
