Just what I wanted!
I liked the way the product fit in my hand. It was easy to use and just what I needed!

NOT sturdy. Breaks with light use.
The arms that hold the tine wheels are just cheaply-made cast aluminum or something. They crack right in half. And I wasn't using it for anything heavy, just scratching up the dirt on bare patches of lawn to plant grass seed. I also have to say customer service at Ames seems to be nonexistent. They say that their tools are guaranteed, but what good is a guarantee if they ignore you when you try and get a replacement part?

Doesn't get rid of Weeds
This cultivator loosens the soil some maybe a little faster than a hoe. It does nothing to get rid of the weeds. I will have to go back over it again with a hoe so what have I accomplished?? It has a nice handle and seems sturdy enough. Was expecting a better product from Ames since they do make other quality garden products. I wouldn't buy again knowing what I know now, Gave it three stars because the handle is good and it does loosen the soil some.

Not made to last
I used this cultivator a few times to loosen top soil and till the lawn for reseeding. Unfortunately a tine broke and I can't find a replacements to buy. Would not buy again.

It works and we are happy with it but...
the product works properly and does what is expected. But, if you have mug or leaves, they get stuck in it :( ..overral it works and it is good

Broke after a year
Plastic snapped after a year of light use.

Broke after first time using
This item broke the first time I used it, the shaft is solid but teeth housing is cheaply made.

Broke with normal use
It took 2 or 3 years, but in normal light use, the casting which holds the rotating tines snapped in half. Looks like they used a cheap alloy instead of a stronger metal. Junk.
