Q: Are these UV resistant? I need them to hold down a satelite dish on my roof - the current plastic bags have disintegrated in the sun.

Whilst hessian may have a slightly better resistance to UV I certainly wouldnt use these for any long term use. These sacks were of a poor quality. Over a third of them came apart at the seams once the sand was in them and a very 'open' weave. Those I put in store with sand in 'rotted away' in four months from the moisture in the sand. My answer for your described intended use is - dont use them!

Q: Does anyone know what litre capacity these are? I need to buy some kind of thick liner to go inside them to stop sand going everywhere!

Around 15ltrs. You will need to line them as sand will wash through the mesh. Swing bin size should do the trick. I didn't use them for holding water back. I used them as weights to stop garden furniture covers blowing off.

Good Morning, Each sandbag will hold 15.5kg of Sand

No it’s just the bags. They are only really useful in dry areas. Not submerged in water as they perish quite quickly and when you pick them up the sand can fall out. Use the plastic bags for the lower levels. The hessian bags can go on top.
