Christian Bale is a revelation, Stellar performance!!!

I love this movie and it’s great in 4K.Only thing negative I could say is my movie case came chipped but that’s not a big deal.Digital code even worked still.

The first copy I got was messed it. So beware of that. Hopefully it was a fluke. Great movie. Makes you think. Wonderful performance by Bale. Big improvement in picture quality over the blu ray.

When older films appear in the 4K format, I am somewhat hesitant to buy them. Some that I have purchased just didn't live up to the clarity of even the available Blu-ray copy. I have learned over the past year or so to WAIT for reviews on 4K releases to see if they measure up for picture quality. I can honestly say that this classic is even better than the Blu-ray edition. I bought this over time in DVD, Blu-ray, and now 4K. Excellent picture, great color, and perfect sound. Cristian Bale was awesome in this film. Definitely in my Top 25 films.

As for the movie. You should already know its a great film. 5/5Now for the 4k port.Actully very good conversion. HDR colors make the film feel even more real and help the atmosphere of the movie. It's still a clasic film so don't expect reference quality image but it cleans up the old film nicely.Dolby atmos track is very good. Nice balance of high and lows so the high screams and low monloue scenes don't feel like drastic changes so you don't have to be switching the volume between scenes.Great purchase.

It's been so long since I have seen this film that I had forgotten what a brilliant dark comedy it is, something I didn't appreciate as much when I was younger. This is up there with Network and Natural Born Killers as far as social satire goes. The UHD disc is sublimely beautiful, blowing the old Blu-ray and DVD versions out of the water.
