Works for making pumpkins!
It’s plastic and doesn’t have a liner so it worked perfect for making my pumpkin decorations!

Great as a cheaper alternative to the name brand stretchy ferret tunnel!
Really good for our ferrets to use as a play tunnel. It’s really long and much cheaper than the one specifically sold for ferrets. If you’re looking for an off-label usage as a ferret toy, I think you’ll be pleased. Just be warned-it’s like 20 feet long when stretched out! It goes around our whole living room. You can’t see them inside while they play, so you’ll just have to peek in to check on any ferret noises or roughhousing, but that’s not a big deal. It did have a strong plastic/vinyl smell, but it has worn off pretty quickly.

Superior to metal ducting, in some ways
Infinitely easier to work with than metal flex-duct. However, as others have said, THE SMELL. It's noxious! After venting the... vent, outside for a few hours with warm-hot air, the smell dissipated, but is not yet gone. I suspect the lingering odor will be permanent without some sort of chemical wash. In the end, the odor is around 10-20% the original strength (like someone painting their nails in an adjacent room). Beyond respiratory concerns, the ducting is mildly flammable. I suspected the odor emission to be linked to flammability, so I cut a small length of duct and mated it to flame. The ignition took and sustained for a few seconds before flickering out. This is something you may want to consider if you have high-heat sources nearby. Without total combustion, I suspect the duct would simply melt, eating up the vinyl and emitting those disorienting aromas I mentioned. Please consider the environment in which you plan to use this ducting. Hazards aside, this stuff is a joy to work with. The vinyl is quite strong and covers both sides of the steel coil, so it shouldn't ever rust, and is far more flexible than steel flex-duct. 4/5

Perfect, just what I needed
Needed a way to vent the fumes from my laser outside, something that has a 4” hose and is light and flexible enough to easily go around corners. This is the same plastic hose that was used in the past for clothes dryers (before folks realized they could catch fire) but for unheated air they do a good job. The clamps were a bit cheesy but did work out fine.

Wrong size
This flexible hose is pictured as an add on with the Honeywell portable air conditioner. The problem is the hose that fits the machine and window attachment is 5" in diameter this is 4". It is also thinner and has a very strong plastic smell.Don't make the same mistake I did and order it before you know you need it. Returning it where I live I have to drive over 20 miles to a free drop off, or pay half of my refund and take it to a to a UPS store less than a mile from my house. Or pay more than the hose and clamps and have UPS pick it up at my home.

Will probably (hopefully) do the job
Bought this to tie a couple of bathroom exhaust fans to a PVC wye for exiting out the roof. It's pretty flimsy material and I even ripped the end a couple of times as I tried to stick it on the exhaust port of one of the fans. The fan has a goofy notch in the end that the plastic hose tore pretty easily on. I just cut the end off and tried again til it went on without ripping. I should add that the exhaust ports were in an awkward spot so that may have had something to do with it, but the plastic on the hose definitely still is on the thin side. Since I don't hang out in the attic much I expect the susceptibility to damage will be pretty low so it should be okay. The only other thing is the odor when you open the bag is pretty potent. It's about the same smell you get when you open a can of PVC glue - only stronger. I didn't notice it seeping into the bathroom after the project was finished so I guess it's a temporary problem for people using this in places like attics or inside walls.

Great, sturdy hose
Great quality hose, I bought this to replace the dryer vent hose in my house and it is far sturdier than that aluminum style hosing that always rips so easily. I should have bought this before I bought my last 2 sets of aluminum hosing. I used the excess I had left over from doing the dryer run to make a vent pipe for smoke while I'm welding in my garage. Absolutely love it so far!

Makes a Great Earthworm !!!!
Can't help you with the intended use but to all you art/ classroom teachers out there.... This is a great material to create an earthworm !!!!! Price is right, material is light, and can be easily spray painted. Ends are a little tricky to manipulate into points but some wire cutters and gorilla tape do the trick. Spray it with a reddish brown color, lay it in the grass, and it really looks like an earthworm that crawled out from under a nuclear power plant. Perfect!!!!!!!!
