Barbie Collector 2013 Holiday African-American Doll

Doll is fine but the box is definitely damaged. Was advertised as “new” don’t think it was worth the money I paid for it.

I read the other posts from buyers and could not disagree with them more. This Barbie is exactly as she is described if not more beautiful. For those that think she is not "African" enough...shame on you! For those who thought she was "tanned"...shame on you! She is a beautiful representation of an African American Barbie. Also, kudos to the seller for getting her to me before Christmas. My box has a small dent in it but I am sure it will not detract from the value. I did, however, pay more for her than on other sites but I have her, she's mine and I am proud to add her to my collection!

My ten year old daughter really wanted this doll for Christmas and it was sold out every where until I found it on Amazon. It was new in the box and look exactly the way it does in the picture. She even noted that the doll was better quality and build then her other dolls. In comparison the other dolls she has looked much thinner with the design showing bones in shoulder, neck, and rib cage. This doll looked a lot healthier. The doll color was simply beautiful! Many times the African American dolls looked more like mixed girl than a brown girl. This doll color look more like a true brown girl.

Every year I buy Holiday Barbie for my daughter since the year she was born. They are always very lovely and fancy. This year the price had gone up from about $40-45 to closer to $60-65 and the Black Barbie skin is much lighter too - almost more Carmel color vs Black.

I am completely satisfied with this purchase from beginning to end. Everything went smoothly & I received it on the promised delivery date. I would order from Amazon again as it provides me with shopping alternatives across the board. I am grateful for a site like Amazon because shopping for many things is limited in my area. Thanks Amazon you are AMAZING!
