Q: Does this work in a 2 door jk ?

I don't believe it does, I read on there website they were working on a 2 door version

Thanks for the heads up. This is a typo. I'll get it fixed. This fits the 2007 - 2018 JKs. Added clarification. Jeep built JKs and JLs in 2018.

Yes. We haven't heard of any Hi-Lift brand Jacks that this kid does not work with.

Q: It says this works with a standard padlock. Where does the lock latch onto?

My guess would be that you would have to leave one of the 2 bolts out on the left hand (Base Plate) side. I would think that this may rattle a bit but I only speculate. I would suggest to the manufacturer that they extend the right side bracket enough to add a 2nd hole which would still allow for 3 to secure the jack and then that additional for a padlock through the bracket and beam. Overall I am very pleased with this mount. I have had zero trouble with it, it fit great and my jack is out of the way.
