Hi. They leg tends to swell with the alright pressure on the leg. O yes best to take it off. Hope this helps..

Hello, the breathable brace is thick enought to protect the dog's elbows as they constantly throw themselves on ground. It holds in place well even when they try to remove it. I liked it so much that i bought two just in case they were no longer available. I hope my answer helps you decide.
