For best results remove as much excess waste as possible first, thoroughly soak area with the No More Marking, wait 5 minutes, wipe up any stains and blot dry with a cloth. This product is used to keep cats from spraying...not necessarily to keep them away from something like birds. You'd be better off having the cat wear a bell collar to warn the birds.
