Brilliant functionality - Less than stellar build quality
Does the adaptor stuff but having a grad ND in makes a great product. No more hassles with ND's on the end of lens - and works on one lens where it's impossible to put anything on the end. I am deliberately NOT upgrading some lenses to RF from EF because it adds so much advantage. The build quality is the only down side... removing filters feels a bit fragile and the whole adaptor is not the solid quality of the OEM version - but it's half the cost... and none of this shows in the pictures. I don't have the Canon one to compare the quality of the ND glass but been happy with this filter quality.

Excellent Adapter worthy of serious consideration.
When I bought my R7 after my R6, I have both RF and EF lenses and one single Canon Adapter. Needing a second adapter, I decided to try this Meike. Having reviewed Youtube reviews I felt that it is a safe bet. I used and tested this adapter with several EF lenses and I am very satisfied with its performance.I had been also looking for a solution for a very long time on how to keep dust off the sensor when changing lenses out in dusty environments like safaris in Africa and Sri Lanka and the clear filter may well be the solution just by pure coincidence. With the adapter using clear filter, changing lenses in the dusty environment won't be so risky as cleaning a filter is a lot simpler than cleaning sensors in the field.

Cheaper than Canon
So far I think this drop in system is great. The best part is it is so much less expensive than the Canon drop in.

Awesome purchase!
I've been using the Meike MK-EFTR-C BM1 8 Black Pro-Mist Drop-in Filter for Canon and Meike EF to EOS-R for a while now and I'm really happy with it. It's a great product and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality drop-in filter.

Weather sealing looks good, but not as good as Canon
The media could not be loaded. The reason I bought into the Canon R lineup is because of this adapter. It’s worth it! EF lenses get cheaper due to new offerings, but are still awesome to use. The fact that I can swap to a VND filter so easily and not have to worry about front filter threading is very convenient and saves time on set. The adapter brings it one step closer to a cinema level functionality while being a fraction of the cost of the Canon option. One downside is that although there is weather sealing, the sealing around the slot in filter looks a bit weak, still Def worth a look

Works fine. HOWEVER - Beware of screws that loosen over time!
Works fine. I actually one the one with control ring and the ND Filter version. BOTH have experienced issues with the tiny screws holding the mount loosening and lens detaching from camera. My R7 actually hit the pavement twice due to this before I figured out what was causing it. Thank goodness for the cage I put on it. I would advise a different brand or putting loktight on the screws (and checking often).

The product I have been waiting for!
Completely stoked that the package arrived 1 full week earlier: The box it came in what simple. In it. came the mount attached with the VND drop-in filter, a neutral/UV drop-in filter and some documentation.I mounted it to my EOS RP and from what I can tell, focusing speed is the same as canon own EF-RF adapter. The VND range is great. One thing Meime can improve is that the wheel controlling the ND level is smooth and you can’t tell how much ND filtering is being applied. You can’t tell it visually either. You need to take a test shot to confirm: The color looks good. No shift at all.I wish the mount has a carrying case supplied. This beats buying 105mm VND filters to fit my Sigma 105mm HSM Art for sure.
