I'm gonna add my 2 cents as this is an important question (though old).... there absolutely are counterfeit Motorcraft parts in sealed motorcraft plastic bags. Motorcraft has even put out info on how to spot certain counterfeit Motorcraft parts. This is a high priced item ($500 for 8 coils from ford dealer) and I've found plenty on google about counterfeits of this Motorcraft coil. Are these counterfeits? Idk. I'm going the brick and motor route to inspect against a known authentic coil to be safe but counterfeits have been had on amazon, ebay, walmart online etc according to lots of people on ford blogs and elsewhere. Buyer beware anymore. Simply saying "Yes, from flocco's warehouse" is NOT saying "Yes these are 100% guaranteed genuine Motorcraft ignition coils" imo. There are also refurbished motorcraft spark plugs going around that have welded straps at the tip and these welded straps are blowing off into god knows where in engines, catalytic converters etc. Sadly advance auto and o'Reilly are also selling these same refurb spark plugs as new. Checking autozone this week but I expect the same. Shame cause these fords like their OE ignition parts and I cant find any that arent a huge risk to my engine >:/

Hi Cody. I assume you are talking about this 2003 and 2001 having the 5.4 litre gas engine. If so when I look the part up on Rockauto it states the coil that should be used is the DG508. My truck was a 2007 F150 with 5.4 and it uses a DG511. The DG508 are also sold on Amazon and the price it shows me is 43.14 each for the Motorcraft coils. I would stay away from the others that are in cheap sets made by jobbers as believe you will just have grief. Hope this is of some help. Jim

Before buying these COPs for my 04 F150 with 5.4 3v motor, I confirmed the part # with my local dealership. I bought 8 and all is well.
