My Thoughts on Mind’s Eye
I really tried to give Mind’s Eye a fair shot. I went in with low expectations, just hoping it’d be at least somewhat functional. Instead, what we got was a buggy, undercooked mess that felt rushed out the door and buried under marketing fluff. Newsflash: people noticed.Let’s talk about the AI—if you can even call it that. I’ve seen smarter logic in robotic vacuums. And the performance? Constant stutters and frame drops, even on solid hardware. Did optimization even make it into the dev checklist? This was supposed to be a “next-gen immersive” experience. In reality, it feels more like an unfinished tech demo pretending to be a full game. Most of the features they hyped either aren’t in the game, barely function, or feel like placeholders. And please don’t fall for the whole “we’ll fix it post-launch” routine. If you’re going to release something in this rough of a state, don’t charge full price for it.Honestly, the whole thing reeks of a rushed project driven more by financial deadlines than actual care for quality. It feels like the devs were ignored, the vision was muddled, and it all got slapped together last minute. If they’d spent half the time refining the actual gameplay as they did promoting it, we might’ve had something worth playing.Bottom line: Mind’s Eye is a mess. The only thing it successfully delivers is a heavy dose of disappointment. Save yourself the frustration and skip this one.

Solid Ambition, Rough Execution – A Story Worth Seeing, But a Buggy Ride
The media could not be loaded. I really wanted to love MindsEye—after all, it’s from Leslie Benzies and his new studio, Build A Rocket Boy. The world setting, cyber-thriller vibe, and cinematic moments show real promise. The storyline could have been something special. What’s working:• The narrative and mood—like watching a polished Netflix sci-fi—have occasional moments that grip.• Some of the drone mechanics offer brief glimpses of innovative gameplay.Where it falters:• Technical issues dominate—crashes, stutters, freezing NPCs, exploding cars, clipping through the map… you name it.• Performance is disappointing even on high-end hardware or consoles, with frequent drops and a 30 FPS cap.• Gameplay feels clunky—driving, shooting, general feel—all rough around the edges.• Missions are repetitive: drive somewhere, endure long cutscenes, shoot a few enemies, rinse, repeat. Many players have echoed these issues online. It’s not just bugs—it feels shallow and unpolished, as if it needed more time in development.Final thoughts:MindsEye could’ve been a standout with its sci-fi premise and cinematic flair. Instead, it launched feeling unfinished, plagued by bugs and performance issues. The developers have promised patches, and that could improve things—but as it stands, it’s a 3-star experience: a decent foundation weighed down by frustrating flaws.

everything that glitters not gold
Don’t waste your money on this game! It’s incomplete and full of issues. It crashes frequently, the screen freezes during gameplay, and the open world is poorly designed. You can’t change characters, steal vehicles, or store them, and the NPCs look zombie-like with white eyes. This game is not worth $65. It’s so bad that they offered me a partial refund to keep it, which I’ve never experienced in my years as a Prime member.

Not ready for release
Clearly not ready. This game is riddled with so many problems and I don’t think updates can fix it. When it doesn’t crash, the frame rates drop to below 20 and the game stutters. The ai is nonexistent. Enemies run into walls and are just sitting ducks. Missions fail for no apparent reason and are extremely repetitive. There is no explanation or modification of game controls. No way of saving a game or indication of when an autosave occurs. The music is horrible and there is no way of skipping a cutscene of which there are many looonnnggg ones. The game is extremely linear and no open world at all. This game is broken and should be avoided.
