I have very sensitive and delicate skin which is easily irritated. So far this has thoroughly cleansed my skin even with a full face of makeup, did not dry me out and has not irritated my skin. The balm is protected from light and air in the container which is unique for me - you twist the bottle to dispense a bit of balm - start with less than you need. First work the balm around your face, the heat of your skin will warm it up, it glides over your skin. Once you have massaged it all over your face, add a bit of water and work it into a lather before rinsing. Even with a full face of makeup this rinsed clean. My skin was not dry or tight after using, I really like it!When I write a review, I give four stars for meeting expectations and five for exceeding expectations; this receives five stars for exceeding my expectations.

Love this product. It’s so soothing and moisturizing while also removing makeup quickly and easily. Pleasant scent. Very effective and a great value. No irritation with use.

Did not like it.

Took forever to arrive. I used it and ended washing my face with regular soap. By far the worse cleansing balm. The pink Hur is the best by far. My towel also where black even though I continue to try and wash it off

Cleanser is really creamy and once rubbed into the skin it turns almost to an oil-like consistency. Waterproof mascara is no match for holding up against this make up remover; it comes off like a breeze. The product doesn't really have any smell, which is nice for me because I have sensitive skin and sometimes fragrances can be overwhelming in facial products. I think this product is good value because you don't have to use a lot for each application and the container is rather sizeable at close to 2oz.To dispense the product there are two slits in the top of the container and only by turning it in a clockwise direction does the product come out. I found myself trying to "wipe up" the cleanser from the container more than I would've liked. I don't prefer the mess it leaves behind as it makes me feel like I'm losing out on valuable product that could've been spent on washing on my face. I'm not sure why this design was implemented, maybe to be trendy? Stick to the basics. Next time a pump applicator would be preferred.

This black cleansing balm comes in a screw-top container that shaves thin slices of a very soft, creamy cleanser. I love that it's designed to dispense the desired amount of cleanser without having to scoop it out of the jar, making it easy to get just the right amount of cleanser.One will definitely know where one applies this balm, as it maintains a black color until water is added and it melts into a very rich greyish colored oil based cleanser. I found a little goes a long way. It did a good job cleaning my skin without leaving it feeling irritated, tight or dry, which for my sensitive skin is a great advantage.The only issue is that I use white towels and even with rinsing my face what I think is pretty thoroughly, I seem to get a few slight smears of grey smears on the towel, mostly along the hair line. I ran the towel through the wash without bleach and it appears that the smears had been effectively washed away. Overall, despite the issue with my towels, I really enjoy this product. It works quite well with my skin.
