Way better than those whole page distorted magnifiers.Actually better than I thought it would be.

To buy this you have to pay shipping charge that is 40% of its cost.This 2.5 times magnifier magnifies 2.5 times vertically.That is not properly shown in the picture.That kind of magnification makes the reading letters in book look distorted.I would recommend less than 2 times magnification.Book readers could be happy with all sides magnification large round magnifier.

I bought this in two sizes directly from the seller. I am very disappointed by how much distortion there is with this magnifier, and it's a deal breaker for me. If distortion doesn't bother you, the shape is convenient for reading. If it does, a better choice would be a dome magnifier. This seller has a rectangular dome magnifier that I like because the shape can get closer to the edge of the binding if you are trying to read a bound book where the pages curve inward near the binding. That magnifier is not sold here on Amazon, but you can find it on magnifier.com. If you want to buy from Amazon, and you can afford it, the Magnabrite dome is much better quality than the Yoctusan (though much more expensive) because it does a better job of gathering light and the image is brighter and easier to see.
