Good display piece.

This figure is gorgeous, and very accurate to the myths, as other reviewers so clearly expressed. Very detailed, finely done, strong female presence. I picked this one because Athena was a complicated and wise Goddess, one who taught to collect all the information to make a a decision and only resort to war if there was no other option. She was NOT a 'sexy babe' who should be portrayed as a sex symbol caricataure--this totally misses the point of this complex and wonderful Goddess. One warning: I rinsed it with water and the toga turned a very light blue, only on the toga.

FYI this is my second order of this item - it was a gift and I opted for gift wrap -very pleased with same ( Giftee sent video of the unwrapping)

This statues is part of the "Top Collection" line and is not from the superior Veronese line. The box arrives in only the box it came in from the manufacturer. This is not adequate protection for this statue. The picture looks better than the actual statue. In the picture Athena's dress has a light blue color. In the actual statue there is just a fine hint of white in the grooves of the dress, giving the impression that the statue is dirty. There is a hint of red on the top of the helmet. The spear gives the impression that it's removable but this is not the case. This makes the statue more fragile than it need be. The statue is not worth the $74.37 price, which is a price more appropriate for the superior Veronese line of statues. A more accurate price for this piece would be around $40.

The statue of Athena was a gift to my friend who is expecting her first child. My friend's name is Minerva (the Roman Athena goddess). The statue was a gift for the baby shower for Athena. My friend's reaction was wonderful to see. The statue was beautiful; the delivery prompt; packaging brank new. Not only would I recommend the statue, I would also recommend the retailer.

Very disappointed in this even though the statue was very gorgeous and loved it until I actually looked at the Statue and I seen Athena's hand was broken where she was holding her spirit. I still kept the statue as you know for respect for Athena. But bad news I hate to be that person that actually destroyed it because they are going to be punished and going to regret that.

It was for my pre-teen niece, and she loved it. I have been to Greece several times and have taught Greek mythology in college, in translation, and I thought the statue was terrific. Recommend it for anyone who is interested in Greek mythology.

I gave this as an award for mentoring and the recipient loved it.
