Works so well . It really does the job once you develop your hand or technique to brush your sweater. I am using it almost exclusively for cashmere sweater and it it so wonderful to clear up all those furballs. Nothing else gets the job done. I Hand wash all my sweaters and air dry them in my laundry room. This is the finishing touch to get the sweaters looking like new!

100% GREAT PRODUCT, WORKS EVERY TIME AND SAVES YOU MONEY
The Sweater Stone is the best product on the market for removing pilling from fabrics and knits. This is my second one for myself, and I have given them as gifts in the past. Everyone has been happy with the way the Sweater Stone removes pilling. I use mine on favorite pants that have cotton in the fabric. These are very comfortable but tend to pill. A quick swipe with the Sweater Stone and they are like new. I have also used the Sweater Stone to remove pilling on furniture, works every time. My older Sweater Stone came in a sturdy green plastic storage box, the newer one came in a cardboard box. I was disappointed in the cardboard storage box, but the Sweater Stone is the same high quality stone. Yes, it does crumble a little as I use it and it does have a slight odor, both of these qualities go along with the material it is made of, no surprises. Neither trait is a problem, and the Sweater Stone has saved me hundreds of dollars and is easy to use. Also works well on most sweaters, your clothes will look like new. Works much better than sticky rollers or any other like product. I love mine.

Works even better paired with a shaver
I was a bit skeptical that this stone would do the trick but it rescued a wool sweater I was going to get rid of. I couldn't decide whether to get this or a Remington shaver so I bought both. I'm glad I did. I found the stone worked better on thicker wool fiber and textured material than the shaver, and the shaver on smoother wool fabric. Paired up like a rough sander and a finishing tool, they worked great. I didn't think the pumice or wool dust was much of a problem--just make sure to use it on a hard surface and vacuum afterwards. I would give this five stars if it worked well on a smooth merino wool, but I thought the shaver did a better job on that.

A Wonderful Purchase
This is the best device to remove "pills" from sweaters and other fabrics. I have had one since 1989 and it is still working!! When we originally bought ours it had an odor to it. We laughingly refer to it as the "stink stone" but I can't say enough good things about it!!Ordered this one as a Christmas present. Our daughter remembered it from growing up and specifically asked for it this year.I wouldn't waste my money on purchasing any other "pill removal device." This is fantastic!!

Does not remove lint and makes a big mess
I can understand the draw of using something that doesn't have batteries and is all-natural because these were the reasons I bought this item. The fact that it says "lasts for over 10 years" was appealing since a lot of products these days are made cheaply and don't withstand the test of time.First off, it is advertised as a LINT removing stone. It does not remove lint. In fact, while it works marginally well to remove pills, it creates so much lint that I ended up with fabric shavings all over the item as well as myself and the surface I working on. I had to use a lint roller and a vacuum to clean up the mess and I had only worked on one small baby blanket and a few pairs of socks.Secondly, this stone looks and feels like a piece of styrofoam that has been spray-painted black and had a piece of cardboard glued on top so do not be surprised when you receive this item! It is somewhat like a pumice stone, the holes in the surface have very sharp edges that slice away the pills as you move it across the fabric, but the stone itself is lightweight, very fragile and crumbles easily. It left so much black residue on the item that I was trying to de-pill that I had to wash it again. (The lint roller would only pick up some of the black grit but not all of it so it looked and felt sandy.) As I was sitting on my carpet and de-pilling these items on my lap, I had to thoroughly brush myself off and vacuum the area when I was done because I was covered in black grit and it was all over my carpet.Lastly, I do not mind spending some time and using "elbow grease" in order to use a more natural product but this stone really takes a long time. I was smoothing it gently over the surface of the item and going in one direction but I would have to go over the same area, over and over again, before it looked any different. It took me almost two hours to de-pill the items mentioned above and it wasn't even to my level of satisfaction. If you add in the time that it took for me to clean up the mess and rewash my clothes, I don't think that it's worth it.I do not recommend this item. In summary, it took me forever to remove the pills and created a lot of lint. By the time I was done, I was dirty and the item was dirty and the work area was dirty. After one use, where I tried to de-pill a small baby blanket and a few socks, the cardboard fell off the top and took a significant chunk of stone with it even though it didn't appear to be damaged when I received it in the mail. All in all, I would return the product if I still had the means to. Since then, my husband bought me an electric one and it's fast, clean and effective.

Works but some downsides
It works really well. But it flakes off little bits of the “stone” and it has an odor. Between these 2 things I only use it when I really need to.

So happy with this stone! Good value for the money.
This stone rejuvenated two of my favorite sweaters that were covered in pilling and fluff that was hard to remove -and would stick to everything! Just followed the instructions, and a few minutes later my sweaters looked great; they can be seen in public again! The light residue that came off after working on the thicker sweater was easily picked up with a wet paper napkin - and honestly, considering the original cost of each sweater, and that my family no longer complains about finding fluff in their food or drink, this does not bother me at all! This stone does the job well, is easy to use, and checks other boxes that matter to me as a buyer: natural, made in the USA, small business and family owned. I'm getting another one for my mom!
