Does a good job of eliminating glare
I purchased this screen cover for my 2018 15" Macbook Pro primarily to reduce screen glare, not so much for privacy. I use my Mac in my home office (where privacy isn't an issue) but I have a large window directly behind my desk which creates a lot of glare on my nice glossy MB screen. It's really hard to see what's on my screen during the daytime.Overall impressions: The Kensington MP15 Magnetic Privacy Screen does a pretty solid job both at reducing glare (when you have the matte finish facing out) and providing privacy to keep snooping eyes from picking up your bank login info. It adheres well to the screen and still allows the lid to close, though a slight gap is introduced and there is a slight reduction in the ability of the MBP's magnets to keep the lid closed. But this is a non-issue when it's on your desk or in a sleeve. The magnetic adhesion is awesome and makes installation and removal a breeze. I like that I can easily remove it when I want and it comes with a neat little protective storage sleeve. Since my main usage is for reducing glare, I primarily use the matte finish side. (The glossy side actually increases glare.) But, users who primarily want the cover for privacy and want to retain the glossy look of their screen will appreciate the glossy side. There is a noticeable reduction in screen brightness with the MP15 in place, but it's worth the reduction of glare and the screen is still bright enough. In fact, the reduction in glare means I don't need the screen quite as bright anyhow, so that's a wash in my opinion. The lid closes just fine with the screen in place and it strikes a good balance between reducing glare without reducing the screen brightness so much that it's hard to see.Pic 1: Screen off without the MP15 (lots of glare)Pic 2: Screen off with the MP15, matte finish side (significant reduction in glare)Pic 3: Screen off with the MP15, glossy finish side (Increase in glare compared to uncovered MBP screen)Pic 4: White background on screen without the MP15 (high glare)Pic 5: White background on screen with MP15, glossy finish side ((Increase in glare compared to uncovered MBP screen)Pic 6: White background on screen with MP15, matte finish side (reduction of glare)Pic 7: Left half of MBP screen uncovered, right half with matte finish MP15Pic 8: Black background on screen without the MP15 (high glare, hardly readable)Pic 9: Black background on screen with the glossy MP15 (high glare, even worse than without the MP15)Pic 10: Black background on screen with the MP15 matte side (reduced glare, readable without eye strain)Pic 11: MBP screen at sharp angle without MP15 (Screen contents still highly visible)Pic 12: MBP screen at low angle with MP15 matte (Screen contents mostly obscured)Pic 13: MBP screen at sharp angle with MP15 matte (Screen contents completely obscured)Pic 14: MP15 adheres with magnets to the top but not the bottom of the screen, meaning that the MP15 will have a gap if the screen is angled at less than 90 degrees to the keyboard. Does not interfere with closing the MBP lid.Pic 15: Perfect sizing of the MP15 ensures that it sits just inside the slightly raised bezel of the 15" MBP screen.Pic 16: Slight gap when the MBP lid is closed with the MP15 in place, but does not interfere with sleep mode.

Don't know why it says doesn't fit MB 2015- FITS Perfectly!
I dont know why most of the Q&A says does not fit 2012-2015 mb pro. Fits mine like a glove with a 3/8 inch gaps on the sides which I dont mind. The magnetic strip is strong and stays in place. Even over my camera cover. For $15 buying a well know brand vs paying over $50 for unknown. I am well over satisfied. As other reviewers mentioned, best works on low/medium brightness. I love the patch included for storage(well though Kensington!).✅I hope you’ve found the information and my review helpful.✅

I like the esthetic and offers protection
I really like this product since a lot of my work consists of direct office or sun light. It does a great job of keeping glare off the screen. Also protects the actual screen from the “keyboard smudge” on your screen when you close it. Only thing I will say about this product that is somewhat of a con, the sides of the display at least on the 15” appear darker. So you may have to turn up your brightness a bit at times. Overall worth it. I would also appreciate some type of small adhesive in the box for the bottom portion of the screen to keep it flush on the MacBook.

Excellent Privacy Cover
I'm starting grad school and one of the requirements for exams is to have a privacy cover. This cover is super easy to install and it comes with a sleeve to keep it save.I've literally never had a cover before so I don't have anything to compare it to, but this was looks very professional and I'm glad I picked it!

Double sided glossy and matte
Obviously since its removable it’s going to be pretty thick to the point where it won't close. It does its job, but it would be nice if the viewing angles were a little bit tighter. I mean if you were right at my shoulder just taking a peek you can see it. My biggest issue on this is that I love the matte side but one of the corners just keeps rolling up exposing the screen a bit. I only rated it a 3 star because of the wide angles it has and the curling corner but everything else is fine.

Great product. No stickies to attach to laptop and privacy screen
This is exactly what I've been looking for. I originally used a 3M product that used 2-sided tap to adhere the privacy screen to the laptop. Didn't work well if you need to keep removing the screen to share something on the laptop screen. This is magnetic and fits perfectly to the laptop monitor. No adhesive needed. No need to cut the privacy screen to fit the laptop screen. Excellent product

Not as described... laptop will not remain closed once packed into briefcase
The media could not be loaded. I'm not one to write reviews, but I figured it best to voice my concerns with this item. The seller claims the laptop will shut with the privacy screen installed. If you are planning to use it in one location, open it up on your desk and never travel, you can close it and it will stay closed as shown in their images. The second you pack it into a briefcase or in my case a Filson bag, the laptop will remain open. Roughly 3/8" of an inch. At this time, it will open and close with every step. You can press it closed and it will open right back up. You remove the privacy screen and it closes and stays shut as designed.See attached the image of the opening. As far as the privacy is concerned it is spot on, but the thickness causes an issue with close. This MacBook Pro was delivered on December 12th and is covered with an Incase textured case from Apple's website.

Works Perfectly with My 2018 MacBook Pro 15" - Recommended!
I was very leery about purchasing this after reading multiple negative reviews. I have used several different Privacy screen manufacturers and sizes over the past 6-7 years, so I know what works for me and what doesn't. I'm happy to report this screen definitely works! I LOVE the magnetic attachment, and it's nice that the screen comes with a pouch to store it when not in use. While no privacy screen is perfect, this one definitely cuts down on the readability of documents for people sitting next to you. I have no problem using this in coffee shops, etc., and will be testing it out on a flight soon. Recommended!
