Q: Why does this require a veterinarian prescription when there are no controlled substances required by the cdc?

Not really sure why. My dog had kidney stones ,so this type of diet was recommended. It's been over 2 years and his health has improved. I also add a supplement of potassium and cranberry granulas to his diet in powder form. Maybe it requires a Vet prescription because it's a special diet food.

No prescription is required. There are no medications I the food. There is just the proper blend of vitamins, minerals and proteins to either aid or not hinder your pets ailment. Thanks.

Q: What are the feeding instructions by dog's weight?

There are no feeding information on the can. My dog is 11.5 lbs, I give her 1/3 of the can per day.

Q: They raised the price $10+. Does anyone know where I can get it for less?

The super low price was because of a promotion that Purina was running. They were giving free product which was subsidizing the cost. That promotion is over now.
