ASICS Unisex Ace Low Profile Volleyball Accessories

I am not going to beat around the bush here. I am a chubby. I am a woman, and I wear a size 18 pants. The last few years, I have been dealing with a medical condition where the medication made me gain weight from a size 4 to size 18. It has been hard on my joints, and i have now developed bursitis in my left knee. But the good news is that I am slowly but surely losing the weight. In the meantime, my doctor recommended some knee pads for when I do house work to protect my knees from my hardwood floors. Well, these knee pads are very well made and thickly padded. The cushioning really cups your knee and makes being on your knees comfortable, but HOLY MOLEY are these things tight. I can get them on my knee and wear them, but the fabric starts to roll and bunch, and it actually hurts my skin. There is no way a larger man could wear these for example. The black knee pads may run larger, but the white knee pads are definitely for smaller women if not teenagers. I ended up ordering a pair of knee pads with adjustable velcro straps, and they have worked out much better.

My daughter uses these for club volleyball. They are super comfortable. Not too tall, not too short, not too bulky. Just right. She likes the breathability, the protection they give, and the no-stink quality is a winner! She has been using them several times a week for a few months now. Durability is great. No holes, and padding is holding up well. I just bought her a second pair because she loves them so much.For sizing reference, she normally would wear a large, but these are one size fits all. She is 14, 155lbs, 5'7", athletic build, size medium shorts.

I used to play Varsity Volleyball in high school pretty seriously, but I haven't played in 8 years. I was really excited to get back into it and get the right gear, and for me Volleyball = Asics. Anyway, I don't remember which pair I used while I was in high school but these seemed to fit the bill, and they did- to some extent.Here's why I REALLY like them:1. They're subtleThis isn't just an aesthetic concern; it's really uncomfortable having excessive stretchy material around your knees and lower thighs as it grabs on to way too much skin and squeezes. So these don't give you the uncomfortable and somewhat painful bulges around the pads.2. The back is completely coveredWith some knee pads you get a hole in the back for ventilation, but that comes at the cost of the discomfort mentioned above; they tend to cause skin to get uncomfortably caught in the hole. On the other hand, the material of this pair is breathable without the unnecessary discomfort.The only reason I don't like them, and would probably look for another pair the next time around is that they're not nearly as shock absorbant as I remember. That said, they sufficiently protect your knees especially if you're not constantly falling on them and they DO absorb most of the impact.If you are a casual volleyball player then these are perfect! However, if you're a serious player then you might want to look out for something that completely cushions your knees on impact. Either way I've found it difficult to find a pair that fits the bill in terms of comfort (material coverage and so on) so it is worth considering these solely on the fact that they're low-profile.So, while I am still searching for the pair of Asics I used to have, I'm really really happy with these.

I tried several different knee pads and these are the best for me. The fit is very comfortable, the padding is nice and thick. I use them too crawl around on the floor when my grandbabies come over. These knee pads have padding in the sweet spot where your knees rest on a hard floor and they stay put. The 2 other brands I purchased were either too thin, too narrow, or kept sliding down.These are very durable. Highly recommend.

These volleyball knee pads are great. I got the Black ones. If your gym floor is dusty (which i hope its not) then they pick up dust pretty good...visibly so. I am 5-10 or 5-11 and 160lbs. male. They fit good, dont need too much adjusting during play, and importantly they don't choke off circulation.I would give these knee pads a 10/10. I have played about 8 hours straight in them so far. I suppose I should wash them at some point ;-)

My daughter goes through several sets of knee pads a year for volleyball. I've tried a different brand for each new set just to see what lasts longer. After 4 years and 12 pairs of knee pads later, I bought Asics knee pads. They lasted the ENTIRE season. My daughter is hard on her knee pads. Knee pads have never survived this long before. She has one more game, an All-Conference game and this set of knee pads will be with her during her last volleyball game in her highschool career.They are worth the price. Buy them. I wish I'd tried them years ago.

These are fine knee pads. I purchased them for washing my floors. I'm a petite woman yet these are really tight and no so comfortable to wear. I wouldn't but them again.

I've used these for a couple of months on a weekly regular basis and they have held up wonderfully. I actually use them for sparring. These are perfect because they're not bulky or heavy. I was weary of choosing something like this online but it's worked out great since I've first used them. They slide a little but not horribly considering I'm sweating and sparring straight for an hour. Overall a great product for a small sized person. If you have a larger knee just get the adult size instead.
