Very nice bird feeder with clear, live camera activity on your phone to view
This was a gift for my sister. My daughter got one at Christmas. They are wonderful if you like to feed birds and watch them. The camera allows all kinds of feed straight to your phone. And since its an app, friends and family can download it and see live feeds. Bird Buddy is a bit pricey, but it's well constructed and has great add ons. Both my daughter and sister really enjoy the gift. Amazon sells everything you want for it and you get it quickly. Comes well packaged and boxed so no one can identify whats in it. I got the one with the solar panel roof so it can charge the camera naturally versus recharging it from the house more often. It's cute and a great size. I got the yellow color for my sister and blue for my daughter and they are both nice. You can't imagine all the hours of watching and variety of birds. I am sure they both will purchase other Bird Buddy feed types. It's a really cool gift.

Addictive
This is absolutely fantastic. You can watch birds all day with ease. 10/10 would buy again, solar option keeps the feeder charged when out in the sun. Have had this going for 5 months now and only had to charge when I got it out of the box. It even rained on and off for a week and got enough charge. Only regret I have at the moment is not buying a few more of these.

Love Bird Buddy.
Bird Buddy is great. Easy to put together. Hardest part was deciding where to put it. Took only 2 days to get a picture of a bird. Good quality of pictures and pretty accurate about the bird. I look forward every day to see what birds have come.

Expensive, but worth it.
I got the solar version of this item, and I absolutely LOVE it. Crystal clear photos of my birds, AI bird (and animal) recognition, great battery life (like literally months, maybe I would never have to charge it if it was placed with the solar panel facing south, but mine is in indirect sunlight). It's super cute, fast and easy to assemble, with lots of features on the app - which YES, you do have to pay for the app, but I think that's worth it for all they give you. I've had mine for about 6 months now and it's fun to watch - I check it daily, it tells me what birds came to visit and I even get to name them.Now...why did I deduct a star? Well, 2 reasons: First the capacity of the feeder is rather small. I have to refill it almost EVERY DAY as the birds can go through all the seed in a day or sometimes 2 days at most. Second, because of the shape of the perch, the birds tend to leave behind the shells of the black sunflower seeds I put in there, so I'm constantly dumping and cleaning the perch. I suppose it really does have to be designed that way in order to get good photos of the birds though. The fill hatch can be a bit hard to open as well. But that aside, I haven't seen anything on the market as cool as this for bird lovers.

Brightens your day
Bird Buddy is pretty kick ass, I love how it identifies the birds that visit. The solar panel works great, in 7 months have only charged it once and that was to take it apart and clean it as directed. Easily connects to WIFI, sleeps and wakes up every day on schedule.

What a thrill to get our first bird on this feeder!
I bought this as an anniversary gift for my husband. We received it yesterday and set it up this morning. He loves it so much that he is watching it constantly and looking at his phone for notifications of visitors at the feeder. What we love:+ Quality Product - it is similar to opening up an iPhone - it is packaged perfectly+ Simple set up+ We already had our first bird on it within 20 minutes of set up+ When we took it outside to place on our birdfeeder pole, the live view would not work the first time wetried it, but it worked fine when we tried it again and has worked since.+ The App is free to download and install. The App notified us of our first bird visitor, a Tufted Titmouse, see photo of this bird at our Bird Buddy. This photo is called a postcard and came across our phone as anotification. We jumped into live view to watch - it was like Christmas morning for us to watch!FYIAfter our first bird notification and "postcard", we purchased the Bird Buddy Pro for $29.99 annually. I do not think we needed the Pro. I am not sure why we purchased it, but we can cancel it within the 7-day trial and get our money back for it. It wasn't necessary to get a notification of a bird at our feeder, and it is not needed to watch the live feed.CONS:+ I was going to wrap and gift this to my husband, but he saw it when Amazon delivered it. It ships in abrand-marked box, with a My Bird Buddy in full color on two sides of the box, with a photo of a bird onit! There is no question at all what it is! It spoiled the surprise, though the packaging is excellent. If it isa gift and the recipient lives with you, they may see it upon delivery.+ The charging cord we received is not USB-C which is what is advertised. We happened to have a cord formy husband's cordless screwdriver that plugged into the camera for the Bird Buddy to charge it. I posteda photo of the cord that came with the Bird Buddy which isn't usable for us.Noteworthy - we did buy the solar version. We charged it this initial time for one hour, and it told us it had a 75% charge, so we unplugged it and set it up. The instructions say it takes 2 hours to charge it, which isn't bad! It is a very cloudy day here and 8 hours after we set it up, it is still holding at the 75% charge. One last note, I read some reviews where the lights were hard to see. The instructions indicate the lights are faint. If you turn off the lighting in your room before going outside with the feeder, you can see the indicator lights. The room needs to be dark. The lights tell you what is going on while you are charging and syncing, connecting it so this is important.I hope this is helpful. We love it and are glad we got it.

Got this for my elderly mother, she loves it. Too bad it has a subscription attached. But works great. Identifying all the bids..

does indeed feed the birds
i love seeing the close ups of birds and thieving squirrels. only downside is that the solar panel is on one side, so the feeder has to be positioned in a specific way to charge in the sun. in my case, this specific way is unfortunately with the camera directly pointed at my neighbors back door. i don't know how that makes them feel, but it makes me feel bad so i can’t imagine they feel any better. if the solar panel came on the other side or on both sides, i would like it more. i could’ve gotten the battery one but it’s been a year since i bought this so that ship has sailedotherwise though, easy to mount and remove to refill. it survived through a hurricane when i forgot it outside. squirrels though- they always find a way. at least they’re cute when they show up on the camera
