Simple, compact and easy to assemble.
It's really great and small enough to throw in a laptop bag or backpack and it's fairly lightweight. My only complaint is I've had the pad fall off a few times from th extreme heat of staying in my car. It's nothing more than what a little bit of glue can fix. Otherwise it's fairly quiet but you can hear a little ring from the metal when you strike. Response is decent and it functions very well.I bought mine to use for rehearsal on the road and teaching. It works great for both! Highly recommended for anyone doing the same

The Pad is not the best but...
The pad is a little too soft and flimsy so it might need to be replaced or re-inforced after a short while. However, the hardware is strong and sturdy. I would recommend it.
