Until I saw this book's title in my search, I never heard of 'mystery boxes' on Amazon.Let me be clear: these boxes aren't curated by Amazon itself. They're sold by individual sellers and merely shipped through Amazon's network.Searching for "mystery box" on Amazon reveals the reality: photos in reviews show that these boxes are dominated by low-value and low-quality items, likely sourced in bulk overseas for pennies. It's a gamble, but the odds are stacked against you.This book introduced me to the concept of Amazon mystery boxes. However, the author's overly optimistic portrayal of their value quickly clashed with the grim reality I uncovered with a simple Amazon search.Aimed at new Amazon buyers, the book covers account creation and the importance of reviews (basic information, to say the least). It then goes on to describe the 'thrill' of receiving a box of unknown junk.
