I pulled the trigger and purchased it. Instructions are so so but I managed to figure out how to get it configured.The mounting clamps are a piece of junk. I used some U-bolts instead and they worked perfect.The signal is great as well as the distance. I'm happy with the purchase so far.

Poor instruction!! Out a lot of money since out of return date time frame. Feels like I’ve been SCAMMED out of a lot of money!! For product that doesn’t work. Awaiting return response from ADALOV!!

Building the unit was not a problembut going online and getting the settings set correctly to use, It took me days and a lot of emails back-and-forth with the company.It was not very clear and it was not as simple on my computer as they said it should be.But once I got it all working, it does have a long range and connects easily.

I want to start by saying this is an updated review. My first review was less the positive as I had some issues before I finally returned the device. The manufacturer reached out to me as they were surprised at the things I experience and they suggested I purchase it again and give it another test because they were sure something was amiss with the one that I had received.So, I bought another (it was not given to me for free), and they were correct. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!This is an amazing device with more features than I can mention. It is extremely well built and I am certain it can handle any weather conditions thrown at it. We live in Southwest Florida and we have gone through less well constructed external access points almost yearly, or at least every time we had a serious period of hard rain or a hurricane. This unit is large and very obviously watertight, so I am sure I will not be looking to replace it after the next rain storm.Back to the testing. One problem many of these types of devices experience is losing power from the POE as the distance to the device increases. The Adalov Factory device comes with a powerful 48Watt POE and it easily handled a distance of 100’ ethernet cable (in my case) from the power supply to the device without any issues, which was amazing. But it does not stop there the WIFI range is nothing less than phenomenal.In my application I live on a ranch and I have 10 battery powered WIFI cameras in distances from 50 ft (~15 meters) to over 300 ft (~92 meters) from the house. It has always been a challenge to find a 1 device that could provide a signal to all of them. Furthermore, I needed a WIFI access point I can place outside that can reach all of the cameras without loss of bandwidth or quality and could survive our extreme Florida weather (heat, intense rains and hurricanes). And since areas of my property do not receive cellular signal, I needed to have wifi for my phone in the areas that could not receive sufficient cellular signal. This device is able to do all of that easily. In fact, I tested the direct line distance and was able to receive a usable signal on my phone at least 400 ft (~120 meters) and the signal continued beyond that distance. (Some of my cameras are not in direct line of site but still receive an adequate signal to function properly.)The UI and interface is another place where it shines. There are a number of real-time displays and logs that provide a complete picture of what is going on. I was especially thrilled to find that you could add several different networks to the unit while it still retained a shadow network for emergency access. None of the other I tried had such extensive capabilities. All this for a very competitive price.The set up was fairly simple with most of the defaults set properly for normal operation, but adjustable for specific circumstances.And based on my contact with the manufacturer, they are concerned and willing to help get you going and solve any issues that might arise, unlike many others.Excellent weatherproof construction, detailed interface with many features, remarkable range and responsive support …all in all, I am completely satisfied with this device and highly recommend it. If you are looking for a solidly built device that can handle any weather and send a signal further then all the others.I am delighted that manufacturer took an interest and encouraged me to repurchase this device. If not, I would have missed out an access point that does exactly what I needed and much more.

Update: setup issues are most likely due to 5g radio is slow to come up. Just let 5g to come up, before doing next change.Arm64/Linux/hostapd, as rocksolid as it gets, probably will never need to restart it.Web setup nterface needs improvements, but once it's all set up, who cares, linux kernel, and hostapd will just keep working.Very large and heavy, guess for a good thermal dessipation. Got it to replace WavLink AP, which is a buggy piece of garbage

This device works well. The range covers my entire farm without issue. Even at the far edges, the signal remains strong. It manages several devices simultaneously, and the setup process was straightforward. It's also waterproof, so rain isn't a concern. Suitable for outdoor areas like parks or campsites. A solid choice for those needing dependable outdoor WiFi.

This product is a complete disaster! It only supports WPA and not WPA2 or WPA3 security. On top of that, there is absolutely no way to upgrade the firmware or change the encryption settings. You mighty as well send an invitation to hackers to come and invade your computer, camera, and email and privacy.

I took away 1 star because of lack of published information. Only Amazon gives information of this model when in stock. I find it concerning that the adalov store at Amazon doesn't show this model. Also Adalov main web site doesn't show this model or ANY info about it. Firmware future updates non-existing and web support recognition. NOW the good stuff! This is heavy duty and a "heavy bear" of construction with good outrageous heavy mounting brackets. This unit beats other similar brands hands down. Initial setup could be "tricky" for the inexperienced. I liked the U.I. It does a lot more than its competitors like multiple ssid network setups and controls. It might be more than one needs, but so what! Price is very competitive and reasonable and you get more in function and durability. I'm hoping and will have more confidence, that Adalov will back this product up with model recognition, firmware updates and support other than one place at Amazon model description when in stock and you "click" on it. This is NOT portable and does not feature repeater option.
