Clean Build, Quiet Operation - Hobbyist Friendly
Pros:- Only plug in the cables you actually need - simplified cable management- Quiet fan that only kicks on under load- Straightforward install, great for hobbyist-level buildersCons:- I didn’t find it soonerFull Review:I brilliantly managed to short out the power supply on my PC (PSA: Don't plug a USB-C cable into a USB-A port if you don't want to risk taking out your power supply...), and I bought this Corsair RM1000x in a pinch because it would arrive the quickest. I’m more of an inquisitive hobbyist than a tech expert so had assumed a power supply is just a power supply, but this one had a few features I lucked out on.Super clean and minimal cabling - no medusa-style tangle of wires coming out of the box, just plug in what you need. It took care of the rats nest I had previously by not having to hide the unnecessary cables inside the case. As for the cables I did need, I have an ATX mid-tower case and cable lengths were perfect - not too tight or too slack. The fan stays off during low-demand tasks, then spins up when I’m processing video or doing something more power intensive. It’s quiet when it does turn on, and most of the time it’s completely silent. If you’ve ever blown a power supply and need a replacement you won’t regret, this is it. Honestly, I wish I had this one from the start — it’s one of those parts that just works and makes your build cleaner and quieter.

Flawless
Great unit! A-tier unit with solid performance and good reviews. High quality. I haven’t seen the fan spin yet (not like I do a lot of high power consuming tasks) but this PSU powered my 9800x3d and 5080 flawlessly.Super quiet. Cables are good! The length is adequate I wish it was more compact for SFF cases. I would go for SF1000 doesn’t come with a native 12-pin connector so I decided to give it a try. Sure enough - too large for my case (Lian Li A3) as I have a real large 5080 that takes almost entire space in it. With an AIO 360 it’s simply not an option. For those of you who attempt to build in A3. So I will most likely go for a good air cooler instead and keep this unit. Love it.

Great and durable PSU
It does its job and provides power to my PC components with a fantastic gold efficiency rating. This version is also smaller than Corsair's previous 1000 watt PSU, but have had no troubles of overheating at all. The fan control knob is also a nice feature to have if you really want to control the speed of your PSU fan. Cables are also easy to connect and disconnect with no problems at all and the dedicated 12v-2x6 port is great to have since it lessens the amount of cables needing to connect to your PSU.

Good price, easy install, works great
I got this to upgrade my Alienware R11. Fits perfectly, works fine. It comes with a LOT of cables, and not only those, but tie-wraps, wire looms, even color-matched mounting screws. No instructions, but they aren't necessary. The ATX spec connectors can't be plugged into the wrong things in general, they're all keyed differently. My only gripes, the cables of course come in a standard length, too long for any of my connections. But, that's what the tie-wraps are for. I wish the SATA power cables included some right-angle ones, cover on the R11 is a very tight fit if you have one of the extra disk bays populated. One final thing, there's a knob on the back of the supply with no description of what it does. Well, it sets the minimum fan speed. In the 'off' position, it enables zero-RPM automatic mode, which is what should be used. Otherwise, it sets an always-running minimum speed that can increase automatically.

This is an easy pick for a quality power supply at a fair price
Knowing Corsair's generally solid reputation for power supplies, and seeing good reviews on Reddit, I grabbed the RM1000x to support my GPU upgrade from an NVIDIA 2080 to a 3090. An online calculator estimated I only needed about 700 watts for my system, but I wanted power to spare for eventual use in my next build. This model definitely felt like a quality unit, which lined up with what I was expecting. So far, so good. It's been running smooth for about a month now and I have no complaints, just steady power. The modular cables were a nice improvement over my previous supply and made the upgrade pretty easy. I only plugged in what I needed, making the cable routing look much nicer in my case. It's quiet and reliable and I haven't had to think about it since the initial install. Of course, that is exactly what you want when it comes to a power supply! I feel confident this was a good value and money well spent compared to cheaper alternatives.

Powerful & Reliable – Perfect for High-Performance Builds!
The CORSAIR RM850x Fully Modular ATX Power Supply is exactly what I needed for my gaming and video editing rig. It delivers more than enough power to support my Ryzen 9 7900X CPU and RX 7900 XTX GPU, ensuring everything runs smoothly even under heavy loads. The fully modular design makes cable management a breeze, and the build quality is top-notch. If you’re building a high-performance PC, this power supply is a great choice. Highly recommend!

Don't pay full price if looking for a modern PSU.
Pros,1. 1000 watts of course.2. It's an A tier rated on the Cultist Network list.3. It has great protections for power spikes, surges and power outages.4. It's 100% fully modular.5. Has plenty of cables for almost any device.6. It runs fair quiet and cool.7. I got mine for 60 off.Cons to be fair,1. This is a big unit so make sure your case will support it.2. I found that the way the cable are that cable management isn't the easiest compared to other PSU I've used in the past.3. If you're looking for a PSU that ATX 3.0 or 3.1 with PCIE 5.0 or 5.1 cable support this PSU would require adapters and fir a lot of people wouldn't be ideal.4. For as old as it is it's not worth the regular going price. I got mine on sale for roughly 60 cheaper so that's worth it to me. If you have to pay more than 140 look somewhere else IMO.

Good
The power supply is good it does its job and has a control knob for adjusting the fan speed, which is a neat feature. My only gripe is the cables it comes with they're somewhat low quality. Other than that, it's a solid PSU.
