I bought these for home use and while I did research on how to clean them, the instructions were basic enough to follow along and allow me to use these almost immediately. The case not only keeps the stones in a clean, secure place but the locks on these prevent the case from randomly opening and spilling everywhere. I currently have these stored standing up but when I open the case to use these, they are still in the same spots as I leave them. The case will also warm them when I'm ready to use them. I've been able to use these stones on myself and really do help with some leg cramps that I get after exercising. I've even been able to have my spouse use them on me and again, they feel so good and really loosen any tight muscles that I get.

This little suitcase of stones as you'd expect, can be pretty heavy. I believe it's about 15-20 pounds.The cord is attached to the back of the case, so it will extrude out of it. It is tightened to the case with hot glue. The case itself is in decent quality, and the latches are interesting in design, they rotate 180 degrees to lock. The handle itself freely swings, so that's the only thing that feels cheap in the regard. The other side of the suitcase has labeling about the device, with a very attractive massage photo.The stones are real stones, so they're gritty in their initial packaging. Wipe down with wet towels before use.The case heats up very quickly on both sides, but give it a few extra minutes to ensure the stones get warm on their interiors.

These stones have a nice weight and a smooth finish though they are not glazed and they don't seem to be treated in any way. There are many sizes and shapes for different areas and depending on if you are using them for just the weight or for massage. The box is not entirely insulated, so the exterior does get warm as well as the inside. The piece of felt that is between the heating element and the rocks has some moisture in it or maybe it's the adhesive that is used to attach the felt to the interior of the box -- either way, the stones do get a little damp if the box is closed and plugged in. The stones can be used as handwarmers as well if you don't mind the extra weight in your pocket. Be sure to have the heated case on a non-flammable surface and not near anything that could melt, like candles. The case has latches, which is good because the rocks could break if they fall out while you are carrying them. There are no instructions included, so this set does not seem to be intended for a beginner. I was impressed with the nice feel to the stones and with how long they stay warm.

The case itself, is sturdy with strong clasp for locking and holding the stones in. The case heats up very well evenly distributing the heat among the various rocks. The rocks are heavy enough to hold the heat and smooth enough to lay flat on surface.

I was excited to try this 18-piece hot stone massage kit, but it didn’t quite meet expectations. The stones heat up very slowly and don’t retain warmth for long during use. Also, the size variation is limited, so it's hard to use them comfortably on smaller areas like the neck or hands. The case is decent for storage, but the heating mechanism doesn’t seem very durable. For the price, I expected better performance and quality.
