Spectacular for girls, very beautiful, entertaining and fun, I highly recommend it.

This is an expensive piece of trash. The first one broke and said to return the pixie to the lantern, she hadn't even had the zip ties removed from her, so we sent that one back. We got the replacement and my daughter finally got to use it. She ran those 4 initial AA batteries in an hour or 2 (this thing will cost you a TON in batteries if you can manage to get one that works) so I grabbed 4 brand new batteries and loaded it back up, and.......nothing, no power. Ok, so maybe there was a dead battery in that bunch. So I opened a brand new pack of batteries and replaced the already new berries in the lantern and..... Again, nothing.At this point, my daughter is completely distraught, she saw this thing in an Amazon Christmas catalog that they sent me. Never again will I allow them to see this catalog. So now I get to see if they will take another return because she wants to pay with this thing so badly. Save your money and sanity, avoid the headache and just DO NOT hit that Add to cart or Buy Now button, get a dog instead, that will lead you to less frustration then this lantern will.

Great for kids who will sit down to play! Size is fun for my 3 year old. We love to dance and play along with our Pixie outside rather than inside her Lantern. The machine will work with the Pixie doll on the outside.

First one came to us broke and wouldn't work. They sent us a replacement. This lantern eats batteries. Even if it is off we were having to replace the batteries every 2 days. My daughter had uses it about 5 times in the last month due to it constantly going thru batteries. It now wont turn on and is broke even after i tried replacing the batteries. Waste of money

I bought this for my friend's daughter who is 8. She thought the lantern was really pretty and was very engaged when the pixie showed up on screen. She was really surprised when the doll popped out of the top of the lantern. She could figure it all out herself so it was easy to use. She spent a good deal of time exploring the different games and activities in the lantern, but what her mom and I really loved is that it came with a pretty doll with a backstory and we saw her using her imagination to create more story and to bring her into her world. When she put the doll back in the lantern, she was really excited by the "pixie points" and to use them to play more games. We were very impressed overall with how much play was in the toy.

These are terrible! We have bought three of them for our children and none of them have worked more than a few hours. The first one we bought for our 7 year old worked till we had to change the batteries. Even after replacing batteries with three sets of BRAND new batteries it never worked again. We bought another one (while the first still worked for our 5 year old.) it never worked. Even out of the box. Returned the item for a new one. Same story! Didn’t work at all! I wish soooo badly I would have read the reviews.

As a parent, I was loathe to buy this overpriced toy that runs through batteries very quickly. But, my daughter absolutely loved it for her birthday. She even goes out of her way to hide it before friends come over, because she doesn't want them to break it.

Ordered one of these for my daughter's birthday. It worked for a few hours and she really enjoyed playing with it. However, the next time she tried to use it, the interface froze up, then just wouldn't work at all. Tried new batteries, reset the machine, nothing worked. Returned the product to amazon and received a replacement. The replacement would not even turn on. Replaced the batteries, still nothing. Overall, this product has some great potential, but the quality just isn't there...especially at this price. I would recommend staying away from this one.
