Exactly what I needed, works great.
The F1000 does what it is supposed to do when properly set up. It's exactly what I needed. I'm an idiot with no experience with these type things and have come to the hard realization that I have become the stereotypical parent who calls their kids for techy help. In my case it was ETAKER customer service which is outstanding. I dealt with Lueng who was extremely helpful and patient. He didn't talk down or use techno babble, he sent screen shots of what to check and what settings were required. I'm using this in a 2025 Kia Carnival to charge portable solar batteries while road tripping. The Kia's built in AC port is only 100watts and the minimum my batteries will accept is 300watts. I originally was going to use a larger Power converter until I read about possible damage to the alternator. I can also run solar panels through this when parked. Another nice feature is it can be reversed to charge your car battery from your portable battery if ever needed. The addition of exceptional customer service made this a no brainer.

Van life lifechanger!!
This product has got to be the best investment I ever made in my 2+ years on the road. I have 2 power stations (1000w and 1500w)I don't even have to think about this. It turns on whenever I drive.. SUPER fast charge I don't get from solar panels or my 12v car connection. This is different. I have tried inverters but nothing compares. It was super easy to set up too.I haven't had my solar panels on because it's winter and I barely get any sun. I used to search endlessly for outlets so I don't run out of power.I love this thing. I'm so grateful I found it. I am writing this many months after I purchased and have had zero issues!

Good
I have a 2017 RAM Promaster City, Bluetti AC180, and 350 watt of solar panels.I was getting power starved on my camping trips and wanted something to supplement my system. I picked this product because it does both solar and the alternator while many of the others I saw only did alternator charging with no solar.Pros: This product feels well built and relatively quiet. The cable included feels durable and cable is long. The cable sleeve included was terrible as it unravels at the ends. I love that it allows for alternator and solar charging though I don't see evidence of it doing both at the same time. The install was easy but I did have to modify the round cable connector as it wouldn't find around any battery terminals. On the 500 watt setting, it charges a steady 410 watt to my battery. The PV port on my battery only does 500watt max so 410watt input is fine with me.Cons:I dislike that the on/off button also affects the solar charging. If the device is off, the solar wouldn't charge my battery. So I have to keep the device permanently on to be able to let my solar work. Because of leaving the device always power on, I depend on the vibration detection on/off setting to turn the alternator charging on and off.The vibration detection on/off setting is a hit or miss. I've notice times where it didn't kick in so I drove around without it charging my battery. I thought maybe I had the vibration setting off but did verify it was on. I notice that the vibration detection often doesn't work after leaving the car overnight. I have to turn the device off then back on for alternator charging to kick in. Once on though, it seems to automatically shuts off fine. The battery will continue to charge after the car is shut off but the device usually turns it self off in a few mins.I've had the device shut off while I was idling the car. So the vibration detection has to be turned off if idling.Things I'm still watching for:I have 350 watt of solar and it usually puts out a steady 260 watt output. After plugging it into the Etaker, I notice that it hasn't been performing as well as it should. I won't blame the device just yet as winter rolled in and the Sun is sitting lower in the horizon now but I will revisit this review in the summer. Currently I only see 150 - 180 watt output from my solar. One thing to keep in mind about solar is to pay attention to how it's wired. I wired my two solar panels as series directly to my AC180. Works great. But to use with the device, I had to rewire my solar panels to parallel. I tried keeping the series setup and connected it to the charger. However, it was 2 volts over spec and I saw the charger turns itself off periodically. So I had to rewire my setup to parallel and it has worked fine since. I did notice a 30 watt average decrease in output after going to parallel though.I did debated whether I should return this product. I wanted something that just works and that I didn't have to worry about it. However, I feel I have to constantly monitor the charger and make sure it actually turns on. But I all I really have to do is flip it on/off so it isn't a huge deal. Just be mindful where to mount the device as you may need to access it often. There wasn't many other alternator/solar chargers on the market so I think I'll keep this for now though I still feel I got to keep an eye out for something better to upgrade to.Overall:My goal was to be less power starved and this charger was successful in that regards.

It does what it supposed to do.
The Etaker 1000W is solidly built. Aluminum housing, that dissipates the heat quite well, it remains hot the the touch, around 90 F. it comes with all the necessary wiring. I used it with 4 100AH 12 Lithium batteries to back up my Solix F3800 Anker. It works as it was advertised. Additionally I use it with my Renogy 250 watt panels and I have gotten up to 900 watts total.I will purchase another unit now for my Mobile needs when I am traveling. I am also interested in the 2000 Watt unit.

Bought two other brands - this is the best
Before the Fleet 1000, I've bought and installed Victron and Pecron DC to DC alternator chargers. Also built two DC to DC converters from kits. Only the eTaker is still installed. So quiet, I barely notice when it is operating. It's the only unit that I own that can pass through and combine my solar charge with the alternator charge. Most critically, No problem with automatically turning off when the car is not running so the starter battery remains reliable.

Do yourself a favor and buy this!
This thing is great! I no longer have to rely on my whimpy 110 cigarette / outlet charger to keep my batter pack charged and then swap back and forth for my 12V fridge. This charger works flawlessly and it was super easy to install. I hope to get years of use out of this thing.I took it on a week long overlanding trip and it kept my battery pack charged the whole time and I didn't have to think about it once.
